If Drudge is right that the Pentagon is planning to dump more abuse photos from Abu Ghraib, there is no use --we should just surrender.
If I had a loved one in harm's way, I'd tell them to desert. We can't win a war this way. Our media and governmanetal elites simply won't let us win this war.
Bush is too weak and the Republicans in Congress are intimidated by the big Beltway Media. The grunt and the Average patriotic American doesn't have anybody fighting for them.
There is no mass movement to defend the honor of the American military and there is no internal movement within the Pentagon or this Administration to say "Enough, we ain't giving the Rats in the media anymore sh*t to weaken us and boost the our enemies. We got a post-modern, post-nam Military brass-- not a pair of balls on any of them. There simply is no push back. The Schumers, the Durbins, the Moores and the MSM are more committed than the Right is.
I understand why recruitment is down-- the damn Generals don't defend the grunts. They keep giving more and more ammo to the Islamisofascists and the Enemies within. Tell me where I'm wrong.
At some point we will let Iraq go to follow its own destiny. Too soon and they will fall to enemies internal and external and it will be a bloodbath with another Saddam waiting to rise to power. Too late and we will see ourselves as ruling an empire that is not ours by right. They may be doomed no matter what, but we will give them as much of a start to self-determination and self-government in keeping with the idea of freedom as we can.
Does that mean you've done some FReeping drunk and in the nude? Ewwwww!
Actually, some of the most profound thoughts have come from sloshed FReepers. Stuned beebers come to mind....
Great. Just great. Three guys are in the backyard, one is digging and two are lounging about, watching him.
I had to walk outside and ask them if they could please dig the hole without profanity.
Apparently not.
Of course you were!
It's coming! The First of September! I have to!
What was it like? Think there's time to book it?
You have time....
It looks like an enormous airplane - but there isn't a lot of room for seats - I believe it only has 9 seats. Most of the space was used for bombs.
The sound of the engines will make your heart skip a beat.
When you are flying in it - think about the 17-22 year olds that were the gunners, bombers, pilots and co-pilots. They would take off from places they'd never been before and fly over places they never dreamed of - and then drop their bombs, if they survived - they would make a run for it.
The stories those guys have told will have you shaking in your shoes. The ball gunner is the one underneath - he couldn't get out if they had an emergency. If the gear didn't come down - he was crushed.
And we are worried about dressing up prisoners in ladies panties? Those guys knew what war was and what it meant to our freedoms. That's probably why I have such an affection for the WW2 vets.
Why don't they have Antique Helicopter Fly-ins?
'I was the greatest helo pilot ever'
You left out /am.
They do, except they are called Marine Corps deployments.
Got to go. My couch apparently needs to be reupholstered. :scratches head: I thought it looked fine yesterday but apparently it is a disgrace to the family for me to have a shabby couch and we need to start tonight.
See you later!
We call it the WHOOOP WHOOOP.
LOL!
I wil pray for your staple-gun.
Good Luck!
OOps! My bad.
As a wife of a former frog guy, you are forgiven, since he should be the best ever.
Nice looking Huey, much nicer than the ones I flew. There are alot of parts around to keep it flying.
Those guys worked their butts off to restore her.
Go to the site - if you are interested.

They don't make them like that anymore, the vets nor the planes.
The closest I've ever gotten to any old B-bomber is in the movies and am excited and thrilled, thank you so very much, that I am booking it this evening once I get hold of a couple friends.
It's expensive - but it will be the trip of a lifetime.
If you remember - tell them you know me. They'll know me as Dasher.
;-)
Very cool site. Thanks.
I see that it's $400 apiece, but it is the trip of a lifetime!
According to the site you linked me to, there are only about 12 left flying.
