My Mamma Always Told Me...
myself | 6/2/05 | peacebaby

Forrest Gump's mother told him: "Life is like a box of chocolates... ." My own mother told me: "Honey child, there's a thin line between love and hate." What words of wisdom did your mother or loved one impress upon you? Anyone?

My Daddy:

The good lord gave you two ears and one mouth, make sure you use them in the same proportion.

I'm sure that's not true. She probably calls you "baby" but you won't admit to it....

I've pondered writing this one, but I gotta get off line for a while so here goes:

Daddy's true advice which I've kept in mind all my life:

"be a lady in public, a chef in the kitchen and a harlot in the bedroom."

how do you know what's stupid?

Simple. The stupid mistake is doing something knowing you know better than to do it. Think of it in the same vein as a self-inflicted wound. Those hurt worst, do they not?

I'm a classic Italian American male: a lot of talk, a lot of bravado, but when it comes to women in my life (starting with my mom of course) I am ultimately very dedicated, very devoted, and....very obedient? :-)
