How about Shaft & the Mod Squad!

"Shaft" is an excellent example of a director getting the most "Bang for the Buck!", pissant. No big names. No budget to speak of. Shot on location. What is considered by many to be the first "Anti-Blaxploitation" film made. Which did well enough at the box-office to generate two lesser sequels.

"The Mod Squad" was mediocre episodic television. Though I thought Tige Andrews was great as Captain Greer!

The year I got married at bike week, we went to the Boot Hill Saloon, and it was raining like crazy. We were all out back under the pavilion. There must have been 500 people under there trying to stay semi dry. That song played and everyone was singing it. 500 drunken bikers singing David Allen Coe in the rain was awesome.

The BeeGees were better in their 1960s era. So I hear. I've heard one or two songs, not enough to make me seek it out but good enough that it beats anything they did in the 70s.
