I was just reading Article 2 of James Madison & Ben Franklin's opus magnus and started counting the number of times that masculine gender is indicated. Hmmm, I doesn't appear that Hildabeast (or "Law of the Sea" Condi for that matter) can even be president.:
Article II.

I bet the gays and lesbians would like these two setups. LOL
Missed you at the meeting of the Flat Earth Society last week. You Ok?
:~)
Either you're a troll or you got a weird sense of humor... like me.
My wife and two daughters are fond of saying, "God is coming one day, and boy will she be pissed"!
NOoooooooooooooooooooooooo. It was changed for Star Trek The Next Generation where the changed no-man to no-one. Voyager was a musical opening with no voice-over.
I wish that the study had been done watching some of the "hers" I have seen.
In other words, you're way off base on this.
Can i have one of those Alamos?
:-)
Hello again!
I was wondering if we'd see you again.
"The words such as "he" and "his" and "him" do NOT REFER to one gender--their uses denote general reference to both genders.
Check your high school English textbooks or English teachers."
I agree completely. Could you please tell that to my politically correct seminary professors who take off points when we don't use "inclusive" language? Or to the translators of the TNIV version of the Bible for that matter. One of its big changes is gender inclusive language. Makes me want to scream!
Perfect answer - and the first one too!
Sorry but in the crash wars the guys are number one with a crunch
Oh you mean like Dependantland and Co-dependant land?
hehe
Or I missed the sardonic humor, one or the other.
Hmmmm....i take back teh speculation i offered earlier.
Interesting, though.
They don't teach basic English in school at all anymore, I guess. The wording you provide is grammatically correct...and it is not specifying a qualifying GENDER for the office, only a DEFAULT gender. This was written long before all units were required to specify "him/her/it/trans/confused/other/NA" in each and every single reference to the species formerly known as humanity and now recognized as a parasite upun the breast of Gaia.
Hope that helped.
We would if it weren't so stupid. We can't even pick on the spelling, because it's copied and pasted.
I think I'll work on Viking Kitty turning his..pardon me, sorry...his nose up at the substandard troll being offered
<< New to the English language, or just languages in general? >>
Either or both for sure!
Such is the PC-tyranny's corruption of the English Language that, if this poster is to be believed, there exist folks, with some small command of the Language, who are ignorant that the apparently male gender of those examples he has highlighted are in fact gender neutral.
But then again he probably also thinks that "gender" means "sex."
No, ships are "she"s and their pilots are "he"s so the seas are off limits to is of the red-impaired gender as well.
