Do you have your speakers turned up? I use a headset, so I don't hear the ping unless I have it on, but I do see the pop up.

Ok. All I can get is a little window that goes away when I move the cursor. It cliks at intervals whether or not there is a msg. I'm hopeless.

What browser are you using? I'm using Netscape 7.2 right now and it's working, but if I recall correctly, when I use Fire Fox it doesn't work right. It should work in IE (I never use it so I don't know).
