I could never get it to ding, either. Despite the fact I am sometimes known as being dingy. It does pop up, however (if you have pop ups allowed from here.) Nice profile page, btw.

Do you have your speakers turned up? I use a headset, so I don't hear the ping unless I have it on, but I do see the pop up.
