HELP!!! I need computer music technogeek!!!

I need serious help. I need to record 33 seconds of a song from my computer to a cd and I have no clue how to just record a portion of a song.
Does anyone out there know how I can accomplish this?
I have MusicMatch, Burn and Go, Roxio, and Winplayer.

Cooledit is a good program. Google it.. It will record whatever sounds are currently going on. I did it with a DVD. There was a song that wasnt on the soundtrack that i wanted a copy of so i used it.

I'm no expert, but I think you need to use a program to cut that part out of the song. Then you will be able to record just the part you need.

There are many very good programs made available free of charge.

Speaking of that, does anyone know a good free software program that edits/splits mpegs, avi, etc, into smaller parts?

This is one free program you can use:
http://www.freecorder.com/
Download and install it. Then play your audio through your regular computer player. At the appropriate location, press record on Freecorder and stop at the next appropriate location.
It will save as an mp3 file.

and you can edit mp3s. It's the best software for this sort of thing.

I think Windows Movie Maker will do that. Load up the video clip, and cut away. It's pretty easy. I use Premier which is expensive, but I checked out Movie Maker and it looked simple and intuitive. Not a lot of bells and whistles, but they probably aren't needed by most people.

Sound Forge would definitely be the way to go.
Most def. I've made some killer remixes and spectrum mixes with that app.

I use
Silent Bob Any sound your computer makes, from any source, can be recorded to a wav file.
It's a small download, and free.

Download a copy of a free program called "GoldWave". You can then open your MP3 file and chop out the 33 second clip you want, save it as a .wav file or an .mp3 file and then burn it to CD. There is a short learning curve to GoldWave but it is all mouse driven. Left click for start point, right click for end point then click on "Delete unselected".
Easy as 1, 2, 3....and maybe 4.
