The inscription shown below occurs above the original entrance of the Great Pyramid. I don't think it is original, but it could be relatively old. If you have any idea what it may mean, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you.

"the inscription was done before they turned the finished pyramid over"
I think you're onto something. ;')
Thanks. I hadn't seen this inscription or thread. I wonder why he is so interested in this particular one... the photo of the entrance shows that it is full of graffiti, including heiroglyphics.
Hmmm.
My guess would be that he's just curious about it. It is anomalous. Contrary to what some FR keyword vandals seem to think, Schoch is rigorous and cautious.
Full-sized:
It does look like the rock was carved away to form a relief, as opposed to the usual graffiti etchings.
First of all, Robert Schoch is a very credible scientists, so if he's asking he's not joking around. He's looked at the erosion patterns in the pit around the Sphinx and determined that the pit (who knows of the Sphinx) was excavated approx. 15,000 years ago!
"Through These Doors Pass the Greatest Stone Masons in the World"
It says, "Cover your asp."
An early version of 'no shirt, no shoes, no service'...
I believe the negative image was *also* provided, just for convenience of study; these characters were carved into the stone, as the other graffiti was. :')
This place, it's da bomb!
