Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Hi Lysie - hope you enjoy the fudge recipe Dolly has kindly reprinted at #203. I made it for years and it is the only foolproof fudge recipe I've ever had and it is good. It does make a lot of fudge though - enough to share with friends, etc.
It's very windy here in MN today so I imagine WI will be getting the same later. It started here during the night and is supposed to last through the day. Temperatures are dropping also. We really haven't had much winter weather so far - very little snow - just a dusting.
Congratulations of the birth of your granddaughter, Emily. I know you've been waiting for this child and she looks like a real sweetie. Prayers for her continued good health and your daughter's.
I believe I'll go try that fudge recipe...I need chocolate :))
A brand new grandbaby, your daughter home from the hospital and beginning to recuperate, a wonderful and supportive hubby and s-i-l, and chocolate ... doesn't get much better, does it?!
From scratch.
My church overwhelmed me this AM with hugs, happy tears, laughter and gifts for Emily.....
...My pastor's wife is bringing me chocolate tonight at our Christmas Cantata, and two moms with young baby sons are already arranging for Emily in a future union, LOL.
Blessed indeed!
There will be a shower for Jen/Emily from each church, mine and hers, in January.
How are your parents doing? Has your Dad had a chance to see his new great-granddaughter?
Yes, too much humidity in the air will cause the sugar to melt.

I'm eager to try your fudge recipe.
I waxed enthusiastic about what a beautiful day it was to be flying... &ct... That turned him loose. He was VERY happy to be flying today. These kids are so wonderful. And I am honored to be able to serve them.

I'm glad it's a gorgeous day for flying, too, though for a different reason. Daughter-child and her family left just a little while ago flying back home. The weather for their flight here on Thursday was miserable ... cloudy, rainy, turbulent. Today's trip back home should be much better.
I'm going to miss the folks here when I leave. I'm down to 45 days, and already getting homesick about leaving here.
