I dunno. I know others like 'em, but frankly I find Apple's designs to be rather derivative lately. They've followed up the iLamp with an Etch-A-Sketch bearing a wireless keyboard. It's a shame they didn't put a big contrast knob in one corner and a big brightness know in the other ;)

It's a shame they didn't put a big contrast knob in one corner and a big brightness know in the other ;) Why not a vertical mouse movement controller on the right and a horizontal mouse movement controller on the left? They it would be even more fun!

It's a nice design but at this time I prefer my Swan Neck iMac. I think I heard Rush say today that he set up a 30" Cinema Display last night. I have a puny 15" iMac with a 20" Sharp Aquos tv in the left corner of the desk. I can't visualize a 30" display.

Apple Cinema Display 30'' LCD, courtesy of a user on the HardOCP forums.
The monitor costs damn near $3000 alone, and you have to have a video card with Dual-Link DVI capabilities in order to use it. Currently, the only video cards able to do that are a special Mac-only version of nVidia's 6800 Ultra, two nVidia workstation cards (Quadro FX 3400 and 4400, which cost in excess of $1000), or an ATi card whose name I'm unfamiliar with.

I just bought a new PowerBook last week ... but I can't wait til MacWorld to see what goodies will come out. I understand the new flash memory iPods MAY come out at MacWorld (or may not) ... inexpensive at $100 to $149 and very thin due to the newer technology.
Then again, I could easily be persuaded to get a cinema screen desktop. I just have to get acclimated to the price. :(
