What is wrong with Michael Savage?
11-10-2004 | Rca2000

Does anyone here listen to Savege nation? I do, most of the time. Michael Is entertaining, and he DOES tell it like it is. BUT, it seems like nothing Bush does is EVER good enough for him. I never hear Michael complimenting W on much of anything.

Is this just my imagination?

Savage is a CONSERVATIVE who doesn't worry about political correctness.

Contrast that with President Bush and you'll have your answer.

Yep We're Old Radio... no amount of high definition sound will change the fact that they have the old bat in the morning and the old bat in the afternoon.

Being smart, talented and a prolific writer does not keep someone from being "crazy", in fact some of the most famous people in the world have be depressed and suicidal.

As far as we "losers" that just sit here and post on FR., we can't all be famous like you.....Now how many books and radio shows do you have, Mr. FReeper, sir?

I learned quite some time ago that one day Savage is praising the President, the next he is bashing him to bits. He even said Kerry was better to vote for a few times, and then would scream about how could anyone vote for Kerry? He is an entertainer in his own mind, and I can't take him seriously anymore.

I don't always agree with Savage, but the fact is, he has plenty of things to be p.o.d at Bush about. Frankly if it wasn't for the War on Terrorism, there isn't much I'd like about him either politically.

He is a Christian, has a nice family, seems to have decent morals and these are things to be respected. Respect is a two-way street folks.

I live in an area that has been overrun by immigrants. From Armenian to Spanish to any of a myriad of other languages, fewer and few English signs adorn businesses in Glendale and the San Fernando Valley. These areas aren't as heavily populated by foreign nationals, or very recent foreign nationals as others. Our nation is slipping away. Our common bonds that bind us together are almost non-existant in countless areas.

Wide swaths of southern California are speaking the language of a foreign nation or six, right now. Instead of allowing a cooling off period so our recent immigrants can assimilate, our President is poised to start new programs that will see millions upon millions more immigrants pour across our borders.

Our borders are not safe. Crime is elevated near them. Stolen car rings, gangs, south American gangs, we're talking about some serious players folks. Glendale has a foreign mob-style problem. This branches out into other areas. Glendale now has in excess of 20 different gangs. Each of these network around southern California, some even out of state. Most of these gangs are immigrant related.

Vast regions of areas where middle income U.S. citizens used to live, are now populated by folks turning them into enclaves of foreign soil.

Terrorists are known to have come across our southern border. It hasn't stopped the flow. Our President is oblivious.

Spending in the last four years went from close to balanced to $460 billion per year deficits. I don't like that this is the record of a man who claims to be a conservative, yet it is.

The education department that has been bordering on criminal activity in our nations k-12 schools, was rewarded with having it's budget increased massively. In thanks the left demagogued Bush over it. The public didn't know. The children suffered even more intense indoctrination, and the education department employees skewer him cosntantly for turning his back on education. Talk about a lose, lose, lose, lose situtation, this is it. Nice job.

We talk a big game when it come to terrorism. Our troops bear the brunt abroad, while our ports remain vulnerable, 2% of our imports are inspected at the docks. Mexican trucks enter at will, no inspectios of them either beyond the 2% figure. Our border is wide open. Our President feel sorry for the poor people of Mexico, and couldn't give a fig about our quality of life, and the damage his policies are doing to our infrastructure.

We don't have money to build new roads. We don't have money to repair bridges and other infrastructure. We do have money to spend billions on services for illegal immigrants.

We said that anyone who isn't with us, is against us when we started the war on terror. There wasn't going to be any quarter given to terrorists. Then we refused to term Yasser Arafat a terrorist. We trashed Israel more often than not when it defended itself, and today we are already making demands on Israel to unilaterally make concessions to the Palestinians without so much as a promise that the intifada will be called off.

Collin Powell today stands poised to facilitate something over 80% of our nation's residents do not want in any way shape or form. It was stated this evening that Powell will be staying on for a short period of time. I translate that into him selling out over 80% of the nation's citizens before he trots off into the sunset at full pension.

George Bush has been very good in some ways. In other ways he has been devistatingly bad. He is poised to lay a burden on this nation that my great-grandchildren will still be coping with.

As I said, respect is a two way street. This President is poised to take a dump on my property, my neighborhood, my town, my region and my state and the nation I love.

I'd love to be able to get behind him and support him. That's a very difficult thing to do for a man who is selling you out lock stock and barrel.

Savage lives here, in the SF Metro. We are at the crux of the part of the state (from the Bay Area south) that is turning into Mexifornia. He is angry about this renewed amnesty talk. Plus, we know that "other than Mexican" invaders are streaming in. Aren't you angry too?

At the risk of getting snapped at, are you all sure that what Bush said is what you think it is? Just asking!

I have heard about this guy Savage, and I've seen numerous threads (here at FR) with his name in them over the years. I have never heard the guy speak in my life and I wouldn't know him if he asked me for a light. My totally uninformed opinion based on the thread titles I have seen is that Savage has collided head-on with the Peter Principle.

Apparently, Savage got to a certain level of competence in the radio business and just as he thought he was ready to break through to national prominence (or syndication, whatever) he just couldn't cut it. (I think some over-the-top statement about gays began his disintegration.) He is frustrated and he is freaking out and he is fighting like crazy against the inevitable downward slide.

Is that a reasonable (if totally uninformed) guess?

Dang, I just screwed my body up bigtime from the stress of the election and I don't remember seeing all of the BS about what a rotten person Bush is leading up to the election.

Were ya'll hiding, too chicken to voice your opinions, or now that Bush has been elected, its time to spit on him just like the dems have been for 4 years.

I would like to get on one thread that doesn't have a bunch of you guys bitching and complaining about the immigrant thing. Unless you expect him to put a brick fence all the way around the United states (taking away all beaches), there is absolutely NO WAY you can stop all illegals from getting in!!!!!!!!!!

It's time to, politically speaking, smack Bush back toward the Right. We can get tough with him now. He's a lame duck. The Yale Rowing team cannot accuse those of us who want the hard conservative line of undermining anything. If we want to win again in '08, NOW is the time to move to the Right. There is NO better time than the present for this! Burn the big tent down.

So build the damned fence. Weve got the money. Or just hire citizens to man the border. Damn sure there are enough people down there who need the work and are tired of paying for illegals with their legitimate taxes.

And now is the time to bring the criticism on. It's payback time! We, the true conservatives, were team players and helped get W back in. Now it's time for us to get our due.

Savage, like many of us who live in states which border Mexico, is expressing to the willing exactly what many of us feel. And it's not xenophobia, it's the desire to crack down on lawlessness in the realm of immigration. That is all we ask.

Maybe he's a setup for Hillary? He appeals to the same level of emotionalism as the Clintons do.

He's a pyrite conservative, if you ask me.
