Like many of you, I've noticed a lot of posts mentioning Fox News' "move to the left."
FOXNEWS is not moving left. That's a figment of lots of imaginations around here.
Fox put Arizona,Colorado, and Nevada as toss up states and say it is a dead heat there.
We know better.
Something is up over there.
Fox has caught a bad case of "The O'Reilly's".
I'm not sure if they'll recover.
I think the only thing that is up over at FNC is their ratings. And it's due to the solid debate coverage they have been providing.
I think E.D. is playing the "Devil's Advocat" to Brian and Steve. Brian is SO rock-ribbed conservative that they need her to "balance" him. Doocy is just, well, goofy.
Cavuto is also great, as well as Tony Snow on the weekend. FNS is so-so - Chris Wallace sometimes really holds the libs' feet to the fire during his interviews, but sometimes he's wishy-washy.
I e mailed them following the last debate. The "K" boys were as leftist as anyone at CNN. I don't know what debate they watched but the one I saw was great. Kistol almost had an orgasm crowing about how sKerry stomped Bush and Mort called it a draw. Truth doesn't count to them??? BTW, this isn't a Bushbot comment, W was outstanding and there is absolutely no way sKerry could be considered a winner or even an equal. period.
Pure speculation on my part is that Fox is hedging to the left because their polling data may show sKerry's is winning the election.
However their keeping this information private until they get the lefty lean 100& in place.
They may think that if sKerry wins, the Communist may shut them down.
This election is Mad Maddy NotSoBright ugly and is about to get Helen Thomas ugly very soon.
(I won't post any pictures and keep your imagination in check.)
They figured the attack that they are biased to the right was hurting their credibility so they are overcompensating to the left to appear more like the rest of the MSM.
Bump!
IMO, O'Reilly started this turn to the left because he wanted to be "in" with Jeneane Garafolo, Rosie O'Donnell and other left-wingers. He seems insecure with the left not liking him.
..Kudos and BRIT HUME should have been one of the so-called "debate" mod. :))
I have been a faithful Fox-watcher since 9/11/2001, and have noticed a gradual, but significant change in the last few months. They are becoming more and more biased towards the left, and I just can't take much more of it.
I am finding myself turning it off more and more, and turning on talk radio instead.
I don't think Fox News ever left the left, but they are just a little more blatantly biased now than in the past. They've come out of the closet so to speak.
Compared to the rest of the MSM, it probably is. Then again, there are high school newspapers that would probably look conservative, by comparison of course.
Which still puts them miles ahead of ABCNBCPBSCBS....
I don't have cable so don't watch it, but if bt "leans left" you mean some of their stories have a left leaning slant fine as long as some other stories have a right leaning slant, which is what's missing from the other networks.
Brit and Sean are the only ones, however.
Thanks for the posts, everyone...except for Mr. Reynolds.
