A man who was suffering from poor health decided to move to a warmer climate. Wanting to make sure he would choose the area best suited to his needs, he visited several locations. While in Arizona, he asked, "What's the average temperature?" "What about the humidity?" "How many days of sunshine are there?" When he asked, "What's the death rate?" he received this answer: "Same as where you come from, friend—one death for every birth."

In spite of medical progress in prolonging life and improving its quality, the death rate remains unchanged. "It is appointed for men to die once" (Hebrews 9:27), because "all have sinned" (Romans 3:23) and "the wages of sin is death" (6:23).

It is therefore essential to live with the right perspective—that death follows life, and that after death comes the judgment. Everyone who trusts Christ for salvation will come forth from the grave "to the resurrection of life," but everyone who rejects Him will "come forth . . . to the resurrection of condemnation" (John 5:29). For unbelievers, death seals their doom. But for believers, death leads to glory.

Thank you, Mayor..This morning I heard the head of the DNC say rotten things about the swift boat vets..including calling them liars....

I pray for strength for these men to endure,Dear Lord, I ask for you to help these brave men to maintain their health and know they have support from so many...May they rest when needed and look to You in prayer for Your guidance and comfort.

Thank you, Mayor...and Kitty, I join you in your prayer for strength for the Swiftees. John O'Neill (having given up a kidney to his wife a few months ago) must still be recuperating from the ordeal, and no doubt the deadlines for the book and dukin' it out on talk shows with some of the most vile Kerry defenders I've ever seen CANNOT be easy.

May the Lord grant them strength to endure and steadfastness in their message of truth. May the fires of their righteous indignation burn bright, and may He protect and defend them against those who seek to destroy them.

Thanks for the prayer thread for these courageuos HEROES! I hope to get the word out to as many Americans about the the SBVFT, so another FReeper and I are making these EXPOSE KERRY'S FRAUD SWIFT BOAT VETERANS FOR TRUTH stickers. I put this one on my truck the other day. I get lots of honks and 'thumbs up'!

The sticker serves 2 purposes:
1 - Shows visible support for "Swift Boat Veterans For Truth" to passing motorists
2 - Gets the swiftvets.com website visible to the public, so they can and find out more about 'Hanoi John' Kerry

Dear Lord, help these men, who once did their duty on the battlefield, to right the immeasureable wrongs which have been heaped upon themselves and their comrades at arms as they, once again, answer the clarion call to Duty.

Help our nation's people to choose wisely in the coming election, and give these men the strength to persevere in spite of those who would deter them, as is thy will. In Jesus' name we ask this. Amen
