Absolutely desparte for something "orginal" to talk about, Laura Ingraham has just said that because John McCain did not attack the Kerry/Edwards ticket on the Today show this morning, "You can kiss this election good bye." Is there anything sadder than a radio personality that uses demagogic buzz language to try and get the phones to ring? There are 120 days or so until election day, but Luara Einstein Ingraham "knows" Kerry has won because of something that didn't happen three months before it even takes place! This woman is a genius!
A very stupid statement, indeed.
Uh, Al Franken? What do I win?
yes, actually she IS a genius. is there a problem with that?
Actually, I adore Laura Ingram and she is extremely supportive of the Bush administration but is echoing what many people feel.
The left attacks the conservatives and the Bush administration every day in every way. McCain going on the Today show to talk about how he respects Edwards and Kerry and speaks well of them does NOTHING to help our side. Not one thing.
We don't need to get down and dirty like the left, but couldn't McCain find it within himself to remind viewers of a few things about the candidates?
How about telling a national audience that it's interesting that Kerry constantly tells us we should have UN approval and yet in 19987 Kerry was on Crossfire and said that Clinton would be showing leadership if he attacked Iraq even without UN approval. He said the same thing about France and Germany on that show.
How about that McCain?
THat isn't fighting dirty. That isn't calling Kerry names. It's using his own words against him.
But did McCain do it? NO.
Demagogic buzz language to try and get the phones to ring.
Actually, if you listen to Laura Ingraham often or know her credentials, I suspect you may have cut her a break. Laura is quite articulate, is likely a "genius" by IQ testing standards, and a devote conservative.
Everyone has a down day every once in a while. I am sure she'll be back on track in short order.
I heard her say that, and she said it after playing the Mcain sound bite, and yes we should be out fighting and hitting back every thing the Lib's say, and Mccain woosed out on the Today Show.
Not only that, but she's a babe...
Spell-checker is your friend.
It makes you wonder why Johnny McInsane can't be partisan for the President in an election year. Why is he still in the GOP? I see he's still trying to reassure the media he's still going to be their favorite Republican. No wonder Laura Ingraham is hopping mad - as we all should be at such blatant disloyalty to our ticket. At least he could find a few nice words to say about the President but can't seem to find the time. <sarcasm
Laura often says things to get people to think, and this may be one of the times. She is a natural attack dog for our side and will be there for the long run. I don't get to listen to her radio show much but when I pick it up it is always good and full of the stuff that makes our conservative engine run.
What Ingraham, who I always thought of as smart and very funny, is dumb. I do think, however, that we will not lose this election. Hillary Clinton does not want Kerry to win. She needs to run, and run she will, in 2008 and can't have an incumbent president in the way. Edwards was pushed by the DNC, the DNC is controlled by the Clintons through McAuliff. He will be tagged with the losing ticket and will be out of the way. Tinfoil, anyone?
And an adequately-fed one too, at that.
WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT. I HAVE BEEN LISTNEING TO HER DAILY.... YOU ARE NOT CORRECT IN WHAT SHE WAS SAYING.
SHE SUPPORTS BUSH 150%, SHE IS EXTREMELY CONSERVATIVE.
TO THOSE OF YOU WHO WANT HER LINK TO LISTEN LIVE....

I think what we are seeing here is her frustration. The left seems to get away with attacking President Bush anyway they can. It doesn't help when McCain rushes to their side.
Laura is calling it as she sees it.
I heard Laura this morning and the bottom line is, she is right. This is beginning to feel just like Bush Sr.'s second go-'round, where I never got the feeling they fought the fight. My God, with all the crap circulating about Bill Clinton back then, and the Bushes just soft-pedaled the whole thing, ran a lackluster, lifeless, 'nice guy' campaign, and lost. And America lost, and we're still dealing with the effects of that loss today.
Ann Coulter gets the obligitory pics post, what about Laura?
HAH! SIX SECONDS!!!
