Actually, I adore Laura Ingram and she is extremely supportive of the Bush administration but is echoing what many people feel.

The left attacks the conservatives and the Bush administration every day in every way. McCain going on the Today show to talk about how he respects Edwards and Kerry and speaks well of them does NOTHING to help our side. Not one thing.

We don't need to get down and dirty like the left, but couldn't McCain find it within himself to remind viewers of a few things about the candidates?

How about telling a national audience that it's interesting that Kerry constantly tells us we should have UN approval and yet in 19987 Kerry was on Crossfire and said that Clinton would be showing leadership if he attacked Iraq even without UN approval. He said the same thing about France and Germany on that show.

How about that McCain?

THat isn't fighting dirty. That isn't calling Kerry names. It's using his own words against him.

But did McCain do it? NO.

What Ingraham, who I always thought of as smart and very funny, is dumb. I do think, however, that we will not lose this election. Hillary Clinton does not want Kerry to win. She needs to run, and run she will, in 2008 and can't have an incumbent president in the way. Edwards was pushed by the DNC, the DNC is controlled by the Clintons through McAuliff. He will be tagged with the losing ticket and will be out of the way. Tinfoil, anyone?

Thanks. You just described very well what it is that annoys people about McCain.

He's too buddy-buddy with his 'friends' in the Senate.

One gets the sense that he would fail in his duties as a Senator just for the opportunity to cover for his 'buds'. At least he fails his party when he emphasizes respect for Kerry/Edwards over informative discourse such their liberal voting record.

Senator McCain, the public has heard too many times how you 'respect your colleagues'. How about conveying some information and educating the public from the unique vantage point that you hold as Senator?

I do admit though that I like this characteristic about him when it comes to supporting the WOT.

You're right...we are losing the PR battle. How ironic that we are the tougher party in world affairs, but we are also the wimpier party in our political affairs.

I love this show, too. Somebody needs to point out that our apathy and always being the "nice guy" is going to be the death of the Republican party. I heard the McCain clip and it was wimpy and sickening!! Laura said so. Nothing wrong with righteous indignation.
