Is there a bigger dope on the radio than Laura Ingraham?

Absolutely desparte for something "orginal" to talk about, Laura Ingraham has just said that because John McCain did not attack the Kerry/Edwards ticket on the Today show this morning, "You can kiss this election good bye." Is there anything sadder than a radio personality that uses demagogic buzz language to try and get the phones to ring? There are 120 days or so until election day, but Luara Einstein Ingraham "knows" Kerry has won because of something that didn't happen three months before it even takes place! This woman is a genius!

This is beginning to feel just like Bush Sr.'s second go-'round, where I never got the feeling they fought the fight. My God, with all the crap circulating about Bill Clinton back then, and the Bushes just soft-pedaled the whole thing, ran a lackluster, lifeless, 'nice guy' campaign, and lost.

Yup. Everyone was waiting for Bush Sr. to bring out the big guns against Clinton, and it never happened.

They had better not do it again. These clowns are too easy to defeat.

In the meantime you of course dispense wisdom on FR while sipping warm Schlitz at your stained and crumb laden keyboards while wearing boxers and black socks.

P.S. -- I'll take my chances with Ingraham.

I keep telling my husband that Laura is the future "Rush".
I listen to Rush everyday BUT yesterday he spent the entire 3 hours telling me how bored he was. Know what? I found that both BORING and insulting. I have learned a lot from Rush but I believe he has lost a lot of his passion...It happens when you have success beyond your wildest dreams and you probably start to wonder, "Why am I still doing this everyday? I could be playing golf." It shows whether you think it does or not.
I enjoy Laura very much. She is exceptionally bright--that is apparent in her interviews with "the other side"--with her fast, sharp-edged come-backs. I like the interplay with her two sidekicks--they, too, are bright, quick-witted and funny.
The music in-and-out of the segments is great.
I thought her comments this morning were right on target.
She wakes me up and shakes me up and, lately, I've had that nagging feeling that that is exactly what the Bush campaign is needing a dose of. Laura called it perfectly.
Go Laura! I'll be listening!

I think that radio hosts go up and down in quality just like everything else. Rush is the Babe Ruth of Talk, and there will never be another like him, but his show has been down for months. Remember that within a year he has both entered drug rehab and announced a divorce. Still some of the topics he has done has left me disillusioned that he can sometimes be a hack. His insight is still uncanny.

Laura Ingraham has a very good show and has a female sense of humor, which is unique. One of her funniest shows was when her and Susan Estrich were talking about dating liberal men.

re: Rush and "His insight is still uncanny."

Absolutely right! That is why, despite annoyances (some large, some small) with Rush, I'll be a dedicated listener as long as he is on the radio...
I do think his time at the top grows shorter everyday, tho'.

I missed the show with Susan Estrich---will have to listen for it on the "best of" shows.

I love this show, too. Somebody needs to point out that our apathy and always being the "nice guy" is going to be the death of the Republican party. I heard the McCain clip and it was wimpy and sickening!! Laura said so. Nothing wrong with righteous indignation.

and if you heard Lindsey Graham gushing over Edwards, Savage played the clip yesterday, its the same stuff.

Lindsey I can understand...he's probably got a crush on Edwards.
