My week has actually been pretty good considering I didn't go to work for 2 ½ days due to side effects of medication.

Some weird problem I've got with my arm flared up on me and it has been way too painful to sit at the computer to type until this morning. Then FR was down and then coolbreeze decided it would only take him a few minutes to upgrade my power supply and memory on my puter (3 hours later) and in doing so my modem fried itself........

Oh yes, he got food poisoning Wednesday night.....

Streaking pains from the right back portion of my head , around to right above and behind my right eye.
Dr. prescribed anti-inflamatories, steroid pack, and muscle relaxers.
She warned me that the muscle relaxers would play tricks with my head and to stay on the muscle relaxers 24/7 for the first 2 days.
I was so light headed, verging on vertigo, that I couldn't have driven in to work if I would have wanted to.

Concensus is that it is a pinched nerve.

I would laugh, except the only thing we can trace the food poisoning to was the pork mole I had made on sunday. I wasn't feeling well, and so didn't eat much of it Wednesday, and Jax didn't like it, so didn't eat any of it....he's the only one who ate it.....

Your description ofo your ailment, sound very similar to the way my arm feels, it started out with a kink in my neck from sleeping crooked........

I found the alternate URL they were using for logging into FR and it worked this morning......but I couldn't remember my password, so had to use hubby's log in!!!

To Build A Fire, Part Two

The plane went down almost gently, sliding at first across the tops of the snow-covered firs like a fast skier skimming the moguls. Even the sudden stop after the wings sheared off was gentle enough that no one was killed outright.

Of course there were injuries. Many passengers had bumped heads, sprains, and other minor contusions. Even the Captain and co-pilot survived, both with leg injuries.

Slowly, the people pulled together. Wounds were treated, the injured were helped, and eased. They assessed their situation. Forty-seven people on a trip across Canada to a conference in Alaska. Engine problems, perhaps from contaminated fuel, had forced them down. Their Maydays had gone out as they were descending. Even though the radio was currently out, all they had to do was survive until the rescue party arrived.

There would be enough food if they rationed it. They were confident they would be found.

But it started getting cold.

Four days later, the rescuers found them. Everyone was dead.

Ike Peterson looked around. “I can’t understand it! They had warm clothing. They even had fuel left in the tanks. They were surrounded by wood, some of it already smashed into kindling by their crash. All they had to do was build a couple of fires to keep warm, and we could have found them days ago. Why didn’t they build a fire?”

His team checked the frozen bodies. Apparently, some had tried to start a fire using friction and sparks. No one had succeeded.

“This is crazy! They couldn’t get a fire started?” He stared.

“Yeah, Chief. According to the flight records, this was a charter group from the “Anti-Smoking Army” who were headed up to a convention to meet with other anti-smokers. Apparently, no one was a smoker, and not one of them had a lighter or even matches. Looks like they couldn’t get the fire started.”

Peterson was aghast, and visibly shaken. “You got a cigarette?”

“Here, boss. I’d never go anywhere without my smokes. One of the reasons I don’t fly.”

They stood together looking over the scene of the tragedy.

“All these people dead. What a shame.” Peterson lamented.

“Yeah. Turns out there was only one seat not occupied on the flight.”

Peterson shook his head. “Damn shame.” He took another puff as he looked around again.

No, it was evrywhere.

But they moved pretty fast and got an alternate URL up and running....but a lot of folks were unable to find it. I went to the Yahoo message boards this morning and that is where I found it.

someone had emailed it to XSmommy last night, etc, etc.....

I got an email earlier from CSM asking me about it, but the regular site was already back up and running by then.
