You can't win.. At least now I give them a lot of crap, like how did you get this #, and it usually gives them pause and shuts them up.. lol.

Me, I never signed up on any 'no call' list. I figured I can handle it myself. After all, I do have an answering machine. I have never got that caller ID thingie, though.

Anyway, when a telemarketer calls and talks in person, I tell them I am not interested. If they persist in talking, I scream into the telephone receiver, loudly. And if the call is from one of those automated ones, and I answer...I just lay the phone down and let them waste their time and money. LOL

I've been riding one of these little guys on the weekends...they are pretty nice horses, but are not used to the loose rein that we ride with. The Chileans keep them reined in pretty tight...kinda like the keep their wimmin.

And I remember when as a kid I could walk down the street in my neighborhood with a pistol strapped on my belt and a rifle in my hands....Nobody went berserk over it....If I tried that now as an adult there would be sirens and flashing lights all over the place....

We use caller ID, and never answer if it comes through unlisted.

We must screen out over 100 calls a day. It's annoying to say the least.

I think we'll do this for a couple more years anyways...I might be going back to Africa...it has been mentioned and I always hide under the table when the subject is brought up. I need to squirrel away a few more bucks so we can do things right when we come home, plus I enjoy my job.

But you are sure right, it does drive us nuts not to be on the place doing the million things we have planned.

Fairly typical Chilean horse...part Arab, Spanish Barb, and fence jumper. They are small compared to our Quarter Horses, but they are tough little guys.

Hey....Friday night we went over to some friends house to dinner. She told us this wonderful story about her trying to call us so we would come over a little bit later than planned. Apparently she dialed the number, and when she heard the answer just started talking......she said, and I quote "Hi David, this is Nancy. I'm going to take a shower so why don't you come over in about a half hour and I'll be ready"

Silence on the other line for about ten seconds.

"Nancy. Nancy.....this isn't David"

Having said that, I think that we will enjoy two good games.
