The FreeRepublic user ransomenote uses AI to curate posts and generate a bit of content for her posts:

I'm really REALLY good with AI development. I use it every day, and have spent hundreds of dollars in AI credits during my coding work.
So ... since ransomenote is populating FR with AI-generated content, what are your thoughts about my using AI to create posts on FR?
It's pretty easy for me to do. Is anyone opposed to me following ransomenote's lead, and flooding FR with AI-generated stuff?
Dear FRiends,
We need your continuing support to keep FR funded. Your donations are our sole source of funding. No sugar daddies, no advertisers, no paid memberships, no commercial sales, no gimmicks, no tax subsidies. No spam, no pop-ups, no ad trackers.
If you enjoy using FR and agree it's a worthwhile endeavor, please consider making a contribution today:

Thank you very much and God bless you,
Jim
Maybe start with a drip to see if you as good as ransomnote?
Ethical posting, however, requires that sources, not excepting AI, be identified.

If it is generating solid factual info that is supplementing (not replacing) the poster’s input, then it’s fine.
If the AI is hallucinating or if the poster is not contributing much of anything, then that’s not good.
I would not depend on AI to generate good conservative thought. They all lean the other way. But, as a supplementary tool to look up facts, it can be very good. I do that myself as it is 100X better than just using Google search. But I pay close attention to the sources used, challenge the AI frequently, make it defend what it has found, force it to write clearly and succinctly.
So, “it depends.”
I don’t normally use AI to create posts, though I sometimes use it to summarize factual data in a way easily presented for the point I ma making, sometimes with nice HTML3 formatting.
But I ALWAYS cite my source. ALWAYS.
I have no problem with others using AI to generate content of interest to Freepers, as long as it is labeled. I would lean towards factual presentations rather than humor. AI generated memes are best left to the experts. Amelia was the exception, not the rule. Even Babylon Bee’s AI efforts aren’t as creative as its real work.
I’ve been called a bot. I want a raise.
What was that line in Star Wars II?... “So this is how democracy ends... with thunderous applause!”
Just don’t contradict me !
I hadn’t realized they were using AI to generate the posts. I accompany videos I post with AI generated summaries, but I think that’s legit. I don’t like the idea of AI generated posts though. There is way too much AI generated slop on the internet as it is. Generating AI slop from source AI-generated slop sucks.
If all our AIs talk to each other it leaves more time for chores.
I guess it’s fitting this is how FR ends... like everything else...
With AI Generated content.
It’s a free country, and FR hasn’t any prohibition on AI-generated content.
So you’re free to do it.
Please understand, however, that there are LOTS of people who’ll effectively ban your commentary.
If it's just your opinion on a subject, do you really need AI for that?

FYI, the next bot meeting has been bumped to the 11th, due to the holiday. We're moving back to Denny's because someone burned down the Del Taco.
I’ve been called plenty of names but my posts continue...

It is a stupid thing, and not really germane... I have been seeing all of a sudden AI renderings of actual famous people in Youtube videos that annoy me to no end. They are ugly, vaguely like Thomas Kinkade paintings. Everything will be uglier soon and, artificial.
