Spencer Pratt is taking the Los Angeles mayoral race by storm. He's approaching things with common sense, and focusing on the issues that people care about, like crime and safety, a basic issue in the city.
Meanwhile, the present mayor, Karen Bass, is focusing on things like teeth for meth heads.
Now it looks like his approach may be paying off for his campaign - literally. Donations to his campaign are vastly outweighing donations to the campaigns of his opponents.
For the filing period April 19 - May 16, Nithya Raman raised $401,000, Karen Bass had $280,000, and Spencer Pratt had $2.72 million. That's basically 10 times what Bass has raised, so that's pretty significant. Bass has to realize, from that number, that she has a problem with Pratt. This is all in a "blue city." While money wouldn't necessarily give you the race, it certainly helps, and it's also a sign that he is reaching and inspiring people.
What it indicates, I think, is that people are just tired of the status quo. Bass and Raman are the face of those years of Democratic failure. Meanwhile, Pratt is touching something fresh in people that they haven't felt in a while - hope.
As Pratt put it, "Everyone's missing who's voting for me. The only people who aren't are the socialists, the lunatics, and the Communists. Any normal, functioning brain who doesn't want to step in human poop when they get their matcha is voting for me. Which is a lot of people." He said he wasn't a politician, and he hated politicians.
Even Billy Bush in that clip agreed, "You drive around the streets of Los Angeles, it's disgusting. And that is just not okay." He praised Pratt's promise that there would finally be some transparency and accountability, that he would show where the money they take in goes when he became mayor. "I'm down for that," Bush concluded.
How close is the race with all this momentum for Pratt?
The latest poll also suggests that Pratt may have largely closed the lead that Bass had, and it's now quite close, if this Cygnal poll is accurate.
It has Bass at 25 percent, Pratt at 22 percent, and Raman at 18 percent. If no one gets over 50 percent, as the post continues, the top two would advance to a runoff, which is likely.
Cygnal CEO Brent Buchanan said:
“They’re frustrated by the cost of living, homelessness, and corruption, creating a very real opening for Spencer Pratt. He’s well within striking distance of Bass, whose numbers are saddled with a deeply defined, underwater image. Pratt still has room to consolidate the voters he needs most, especially men, independents, and voters in the Northeast Valley, with a closing message built around public safety, accountability, and his Palisades story.”
"He has the right mixture of things working in his favor," Buchanan said. Stay tuned!

To Live and Die in L.A.
If Democrat Lesbian Karen Bass
is reelected
He’s a natural talent as well.
Why depress the vote like that? Whose side are you on?
Do you think Spencer needs people to be intoning doom right now? Why not help out instead?
The trick is to win so overwhelmingly that they cannot possibly cheat enough to overcome the totals without looking absolutely ridiculous...................
Karen Bass can kiss my ___
foot.................
Seems clear none can get anywhere near 50%, so if he makes it to the runoff he’s got a real chance. I can’t believe that imbecile Bass has a much support as she does. If there was ever a Pol in any office who did NOT deserve re-election, it’s Karen Bass.
GO SPENCER GO!!!!
Kurt Schlicher has a realistic and, unfortunately, sobering perspective on this. I think good is going to come out of Pratt’s campaign. But he’s not going to get elected mayor of LA.
I think that is a good point to consider for how some of the money and support should be directed. Joseph Stalin said, “It’s not the people who vote that count. It’s the people who count the votes”. He needs a strategy to force himself into the midst of that process.
Don’t get me wrong, I’d LOVE for him to win. But I also realize that CA is a 1 party state, and when they cheat to beat him, he’ll have no recourse.
If he DOES somehow win, the dems will circle the wagons and stiffel anything he tries to do, and next election they’ll point out that he didn’t accomplish anything.
Yeah, she can let half the city burn to the ground and all the govt employees and union members still can’t wait to vote for her again.
Well, if you listen to Kurt’s diatribe, although it’s very well taken, America is doomed to the same fate as cities like LA and NY. But I happen to think the Trump era has been a great awakening of the American people who are sick and tired of the communist democrats and their power at any cost, filthy politics. We are turning this trend around, just look at the red/blue map sometime and you realize we are the future of America and are bringing common sense back into play. We have come to a “we’re not going to take this anymore” point and we’re going to throw the bums out! More and more people are joining us every day. That Spence Pratt is actually gaining lots of unexpected support in LA is a sign that we shouldn’t be like Kurt and give up the fight, and I’m talking nation wide. We need to get out the vote like our lives and our children’s futures depend on it, because they do.
Actually, Trump is losing support even among republicans.
The cumulative left vote in the chart above is 53%. Spencer needs to hope for a huge Bradley Effect.
Trump is trying to stall off the inevitable to get past the summer with one event after the other taking place, and with lots of foreign visitors coming to our shores all summer long. The world soccer games first, the summer Olympics, and our own celebrations of our 4th of July 250th anniversary of our founding, are all stacked up like airplanes landing, one event right after another.
Then in the Arab states the Haj is about to begin so the Arab states don’t want that disrupted by war. The question then remains as to whether Prez Trump will pounce at the end of summer right before the Mid-Terms, or right after the Mid-Term elections. He will definitely pounce on Iran; it’s all a question of timing.
Too much is happening with these ducks all in a row, for an attack to take place now. A resumption of attacks against Iran right now would screw up all of the events about to take place, jeopardizing an international willingness to travel to the USA during an active war effort taking place at the same time, as well as our own celebrations taking place imminently. Plus our economy would be detrimentally affected by an imminent resumption of war. It already is, gas prices being the biggest thorn in the Admin’s side at the height of the driving season during the summer months.
Trump will stall off the attack until after the summer festivities and events are over. Then he will attack Iran and finish the war. Mark my words here. My instincts and antennae are waiving, and they serve me well.
Go ahead and believe that, they’ve been working really hard to make you believe that. I don’t.
Yea the recent primaries prove that don’t they.
Cassidy was the first Senator to lose a primary in around 8 years. Cornyn is fixing to become the second.
Massie got destroyed in Kentucky.
Quit buying the doom message.
