NEW YORK, NY — Sources said the indicted New York attorney general held out hope that she could ease her combative relationship with the president, as Letitia James attempted to smooth things over by sending Trump a heartfelt "Sorry I Maliciously Prosecuted You" card.
Indicted on charges of bank fraud after spending the last two years prosecuting President Trump, James reportedly scrambled to perform some type of gesture that would thaw the ice between the two political enemies, eventually deciding that a greeting card was the perfect choice.
"Dear Donald, my bad for trying to falsely imprison you," James wrote in the card. "We may be on different sides of the political aisle, but that doesn't mean we can't be friendly. I know I said a lot of mean things and tried to destroy you, your family, and your legacy, but please accept this card as a token of my remorse. Please do not put me in jail. Thanks. P.S. — Your hair looked great on TV yesterday."
Though the card was described as blatant groveling by critics, insiders said that James put a lot of thought into the gesture. "She really wants to make amends," one source said. "You wouldn't believe how hard it was to find a Walgreens that had a dedicated ‘Sorry I Maliciously Prosecuted You' section. Letitia feels really bad about what happened. Also, she just really doesn't want to go to prison."
At publishing time, James had also called Hickory Farms to ask if they had any gift baskets that would be good to send to someone after you tried to ruin their lives and send them to prison.

Or Katie Porter not backing down but saying she was only demanding the highest quality from her staff when she yelled and swore at them.
Or Mamdani saying the day the Hamas terrorists could finally break through to express themselves through violence was after Israel had oppressed them and led to Israeli genocide killings so October 7th wasn’t so bad after all.
And countless others.
