New York Gov. Kathy Hochul thinks backing an antisemitic mayoral candidate will help get her re-elected. Others in the party are wondering and wavering.
Was it a sign of growing confidence that his victory in November was inevitable, or merely just another indication of the strength of his hatred for the State of Israel and the Jews? Perhaps it’s a bit of both. Either way, it’s clear that Zohran Mamdani feels no need to feint to the center or water down his fervent anti-Zionism.
When the Democratic candidate for mayor of New York City promised to have Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrested the first time he visits Gotham, it was more than a deliberate provocation aimed at offending pro-Israel voters and most Jews. It was also an indication that he truly believes that doubling down on blood libels about “genocide” is good politics in deep-blue New York.
The question is: Do other Democrats, especially those whose constituencies extend beyond the five boroughs, agree with him?

One person who seems to feel that way is New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, who endorsed Mamdani in a glowing New York Times op-ed published only two days after his empty boast about jailing the Israeli leader, which would be prevented by federal law and possible Republican legislation.

For the Dems, Mamdani's anti-Semitism and Israel-bashing is a feature, not a bug.

On the western border of Minneaplistan is St Louis Park. It has always been called St JEWISH Park for the large population there. A few years ago they elected a Somali muslim chick as mayor. Go figure.
According to a new poll by Zenith Research and Public Progress Solutions, 43% of Jewish voters in New York said they would vote for Mamdani, including 67% of Jewish voters aged 18 to 44.
It puzzles me why there is so much concern about the fellings of others when the vast majority of these people obviously hate themselves.
Suffice it to say that Hochul is not known for her intelligence or her political acumen. This immoral decision to endorse Mamdani was more likely than not the result of some polling done by her advisors. Mandami’s supporters no doubt will dictate who gets the Democratic nomination for Governor in New York. If AOC gets ambitous, Hochul would have a hard time beating her in the Democratic primary. However this endorsement will turn off many of the Democrats big donors. This will hinder her in the general election against a competent Republican. Nevertheless New York has moved far to the Left and many of its decent, rational people have already fled the state.
Would love to see Hochul asked what she would do if Mamdani followed through with his promise and tried to have Netanyahu arrested if he set foot in New York.
Yeah that old ‘I’m not anti-Semitic just anti-Zionist’ is a load of sh*t.
And they’ve already tried to blow him up once!
