Biden's Chinese Spy Cover-up [semi-satire]

Internal State Department documents reveal that in 2023 when a Chinese spy balloon coasted across North America collecting intelligence, Biden Administration officials were more worried about how public exposure of this intrusion would affect our relationship with China than they were about the security breach.

When Secretary of State Antony Blinken attempted to discuss the matter with President Biden he was told "Hunter says there nothing to be concerned about. He is in direct contact with members of the Chinese government who purchased the balloon's 'visitation rights' from him. It's only gathering weather data to help better prepare for potential storm fronts that might drift into China."

"I stayed cool," Blinken remembered. "After a few days the whole event blew over. We were able to minimize the people's concerns. We postponed shooting the balloon down until the Chinese government informed us that the weather observations had been completed. No one was hurt. The Chinese government was not offended. We maintained peace between our two countries. All-in-all, I'd have to say it was our most impressive diplomatic accomplishment of the Biden Presidency."

In related news, this week the Chinese government issued a "risk alert" for Chinese spies traveling to the United States saying "due to the deterioration of China-US relations since the replacement of the government led by Joe Biden with that led by Donald Trump, the level of safety and comfort we enjoyed from the payments made to the Biden family cannot be assured under the new regime. Access to secret locations and data will encounter more difficulty and resistance. Many formerly trusted inside sources have been removed from their positions of power and authority. Their replacements do not appear to share the same desire for cooperation even when generous financial incentives are discreetly offered."
