Yesterday, President Donald Trump single-handedly collapsed the most destructive idea of the last hundred years—Palestine. During meetings with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other Israeli officials, Trump said he was going to move 1.7 million Palestinians out of Gaza. And just like that, he broke the long spell that had captured generations of world leaders, peace activists, and Middle East terror masters alike, who had paradoxically come to regard the repeated failure and haunting secondary consequences of the idea of joint Arab Muslim and Jewish statehood in the same small piece of land as proof of its necessity.
Palestine was a misshapen idea from the beginning, engendered by an act of pure negation. The Arabs could have gone along with the U.N.’s partition plan like the Jews did, and chosen to build whatever version of Switzerland or Belgium on the eastern Med in 1948. Instead, they resoundingly chose war. That’s the storied “Nakba” at the core of the Palestinian legend—the catastrophe that drove the Arabs from their land and hung a key around the neck of a nation waiting to go home. The Arabs chose the catastrophe; they chose war, based on the premise that they would inevitably win and exterminate the Jews.
Yet despite repeated military failures, and the increasing distance between the first-world powerhouse that the Israelis built and their increasingly war-torn, third-world neighborhood, the global conscience was always predisposed to rebuilding what the Palestinians destroyed. Accordingly, the Palestinian Arabs became a tribe of feral children whose identity was carved out of the relentless vow to eliminate Israel and slaughter the Jews en masse—despite repeated failures, each one more crushing than the last.
Trump said, enough, we’re not rebuilding Gaza....

I could just hug him!
My, oh my...
When you watch the press conference again, notice Benjamin Netanyahu's reaction, or rather how he played it... A wiry smile, then he gazed out over the press to see the reaction of the pigeons.
The sticks of Judah and Ephraim indeed...
Buckle up! Cuz the ride just gets wilder!

It’s out of the box thinking all right but the US does NOT need to have boots on the ground in Gaza. Israel needs to do it not the US.
“Yesterday, President Donald Trump single-handedly collapsed the most destructive idea of the last hundred years—Palestine.”
Yes! People here and on X are screaming in horror (”nation building,” etc.) but that’s not what this is.
The faux “Palestine” has been not only a source of terror for the rest of the world, but a source of misery for its own people and its neighbors.
It was an artificial construct for leftist-Islamist political purposes. The inhabitants are all originally from Jordan and Egypt, who do not want to take them back, and they have ruined their own society and place and have sown terror throughout the world.
Get rid of the place, set its people free from their wicked spell, and get on with the good life for all.
Amen
It is your duty , under Islam, to make the whole world Islamic. A place as rich in religious traditions as Israel is absolutely going to be their #1 target. (Unless they should ever lose Mecca) . There can never be peace as long as that evil religion exists.
That is exactly what Assyria did to the 10 northern tribes of Israel. Sent them packing!
Amen!
Just finished reading this story at Tablet before I came here. It’s a great site.
The story makes sense, Trump is crushing the paradigm in the Middle East, it’s gonna be biblical! Gaza and the palestinians are just another one of the Big Lies and mass-pretending we’ve been sold.
The great “fascist” is the greatest peace-maker in history.
The Saudis will need a ton of workers to build stadiums for the 2034 World Cup.
As is Scott Adams assessment!
I absolutely agree. We just crawled away from the disaster which is and will always be Afghanistan. They don’t want us over there. At very least, none of the cultural decision makers want us there. Time will tell how literal and how serious Trump was with his remarks.
They had 20 years to get their act together while we supplied our blood and treasure.
If they want to live in the 7th Century, let them.
This is precisely the point they DO NOT want us there, Trump knows this he is lighting a fire under their VERY WEALTHY asses to get in there and rebuild Gaza the countries in that region are beyond wealthy if they DON’T WANT dad involved in this they will rebuild Gaza Israel will take care of hamas!!! If you looked at BIBI,s face during this presser he was chuckling the whole time!!!
1.7 million “Palestinians” in Gaza are all Hamas. They must be permanently removed. They forfeited any land rights by losing a war they started.
My prediction: that decision will NOT end well.
How can we look at Bibi's face if there is no video? I couldn't find one. Help.
