Virginia Church Disrupts Pre-Attack Surveillance: Are Churches Being Targeted?
Christian Warrior Training ^ | January 17, 2025 | Keith Graves

On January 15, 2025, three men entered two churches in Fairfax, Virginia, and began taking photos and videos of the properties. One of the men asked questions about the churches’ security systems, specifically whether their cameras could live-stream and if they were monitored continuously. When challenged by staff, the group left in a Lexus SUV. Their behavior, consistent with reconnaissance tactics often used to plan attacks, raised significant concerns among church leaders and law enforcement.

This incident is not isolated. Just days earlier, a similar situation unfolded in Southern California, where individuals displayed nearly identical behavior, including taking photos and asking security-related questions. These two events underscore a troubling pattern: bad actors may be scouting churches across the country to identify vulnerable targets.

While incidents like these are alarming, they also highlight the critical role that trained security teams play in protecting congregations. In both cases, the vigilance of safety teams ensured that these men were confronted, sending a strong message that these churches are not easy targets.

In this article, I’ll examine the details of these incidents, explore the similarities between them, and highlight how churches can prepare for potential threats without losing sight of their mission. While preparation is vital, so is maintaining an open, welcoming atmosphere where people can freely worship and seek Christ.

What Happened: A Tale of Two Incidents A. Fairfax Incident On January 15, 2025, two churches in Fairfax, Virginia, reported suspicious activity to local law enforcement. In both cases, three men entered the church properties and began taking photos and videos of the interior and exterior. One man took the lead, asking staff detailed questions about the churches' security systems, including whether the cameras could live-stream and whether they were monitored consistently. The other two men focused on recording and taking photographs.

I would pray that all churches in the US now have internal security.

While yes, they were doing recon work, they were mostly carrying out some psych operations. If it were solely a recon mission, those being observed wouldn’t know it. Showing up in numbers and openly carrying out ‘recon’ is simply a “So what’re you going to DO about it, pansies?” mission. That any of the ‘recon’ guys survived provides the answer: “Nothing.”

Our church’s security team consists of retired and former LEO’s (FBI, US Marshalls, Police Officers), many with former military (some Special Forces) experience. They train a lot. I pity the fool(s) that try anything.

A description of the three men would have provided some possible insight.

Most churches have put together a security team and an action plan. It would likely not prevent harm entirely, but it does provide a soft screen.

Muslim terrorists drive into church parking lot, get out and walk away. 30 min later, 2000 lbs of explosive detonates - leveling the church and killing all inside, including “security” personnel

Above all, keep your doors open. In times of crisis, people will turn to the church for hope and refuge. By creating an environment where everyone feels welcomed and safe, you fulfill your mission as the body of Christ.

And if all else fails, have somebody there prepared and equipped to arrest, and if necessary, shoot the bastards.

Or they do a New Orleans jihadi terrorist attack and run down as many people as possible in the parking lot, before driving into the church building itself and continuing the attack inside with firearms and/or IEDs.

Heads on a swivel, Freepers! It's not your parents' or grandparents' America anymore.

My advice to any church.

Never trust the gubmint.

Disappointing that only the last four digits of the plate number were recorded.

There are lots of folk outside of gubmint that can trace a plate.

In my state, I believe insurance agents have access to that data base.

The article did not mention the race or ethnicity of the perps and that was disappointing.

Of course, when race and ethnicity are not mentioned in reporting a criminal act which this well might have been, then you know the writer of the article is a card carrying member of Elite Stream Media.

I’m sure there are some churches in America, where the folk inside the church would have had the means and resolve to track down just who these people were.

Three well dressed men show up Sunday morning, act normal....yet they're there to shoot up the place.

Nothing you can do to stop the initial attack.

Or, they enter a different entrances carrying a backpack over their shoulder. Not uncommon these days.

Explosives in the backpacks.....no way to stop it.

*****

My point: the attacker always has the advantage of surprise.

Shawn Ryan had an ex-CIA babe on his show who said there are a huge number of sleeper cells in the US (I can’t remember the exact number), and either she or Lara Logan’s sources have said that the CIA is telling ISIS to activate their sleeper cells now.

There was also a guy on some “news” (cough) show (NBC, maybe?) a while back who said that there are all kinds of diseases/pandemics ready to hit on Jan 21st, 2025. Why that guy is not in Gitmo being waterboarded for information, after the last lab leak scamdemic, is probably explained by the first paragraph: our intel agencies are against us.

And Janet Yellen is saying she’s going to take “extreme measures” on Jan 21st. I say that means R’s in Congress need to get her out of there before she can do anything.

Right now we are EXTREMELY vulnerable. Anything could happen, because the bad guys are in office, angry about leaving office, and afraid of being exposed and hung for treason if/when Trump is able to have his full team in place.

This is a picture of a woman.

Is the fact that her head is uncovered 100% acceptable to you?

Should a woman be allowed to be a leader of the United States?

This is a picture of two men lovingly holding hands.

Is the fact that they are holding hands 100% acceptable to you?

Is the fact that they will be having sex frequently in the privacy of their own home 100% acceptable to you?

This is a picture of a black male gynecologist.

Could it be acceptable to you for a black male doctor to be treating the intimate problems of a female relative of yours?

This is a picture of an Asian Indian female doctor.

Could it be acceptable to you for an Asian Indian female doctor of the Hindu religion to be treating a male relative of yours?

Does the State of Israel have a right to exist in the places indicated in blue on this map?

Should a Jew be allowed to govern Tel Aviv?

Would it ever be OK injure a person in violation of US law because he wrote The Prophet Muhammad had sex with a sheep?

Should a black family from Nigeria receive legal protection in their efforts to buy a house adjacent to a house of a person in your family?

Would you be willing to violate an America law to impede efforts to raise funds for Israeli soldiers injured in Gaza?

Should the United States government always be able to remove non-citizens from its territory who entered the country in violation of its laws?

We need to ask hard questions of those coming to live in the USA (and under polygraph examination if they are males of military age or possibly will be within a few years).

There are also Americans doing this daily everywhere in and around businesses and govt areas. They are all over Facebook “exercising their constitutional rights”. And they are correct. Freedom has its dangers.

Congratulations to your church and to your members. Foresight and planning are great protections and you should be rightly proud of your organization for bringing together the best of the best. Sincerely hope planning is all they have to do. Stay safe.

Yes, churches are being targeted and if not actively by the biden administration, certainly with its blessing.
