Schrodinger's Election
Instapundit Substack ^ | 5 October 2024 | Glenn Harlan Reynolds

Two potential futures, neither clear.

It’s Schrodinger’s election.

Some people are predicting a Trump landslide, based both on the various predictors and on the haplessness of Kamala’s part-time campaign and fourth-rate running mate. It’s plausible. The nation isn’t in great shape, despite the finagling of interest rates and unemployment figures (expect a bigger-than-usual downward revision of the employment numbers for this month after the election), the Biden Administration, after running on a “return to normalcy” after the “chaos” of the Trump years, has delivered chaos in spades, and there’s a pervasive sense, everywhere from NASA to FEMA to the U.S. Navy, that nothing, at least nothing related to the government, works anymore.

Trump, meanwhile, has come back from not one but two assassination attempts, named a first-rate, not fourth-rate, running mate, and is barnstorming the nation even as Kamala’s appearances are so few and far between that Democrats are worrying out loud to Politico.

Schrodinger’s Election - You don’t know who you voted for until you open the machine and see how it was counted.

smh

Such blather is WAY beyond the comprehension of most people...

...because it is nonsensical, a result of extreme knowledge bias and poor writing skills. So, is the box opened or remained closed if the left succeeds in its fraud? C’mon, man. To those who grasp it, the answer is obvious, but the author’s post is NOT.

Maybe we ought to focus on what they are desperately trying to remove from the public eye:

Illegal immigration sponsored by the USG and paid for with your grandchildren’s taxes. THAT alone might assure the election result...assuming that they’re not going to manufacture another hurricane. /s

(I care not for Musk’s t-shirt. The Mars gambit is incredibly stupid)

Ms Kamunism may be hiding in a box with Schrodinger’s cat.

It’s the dead cat election.

Harris’ Convention failed to give her even a dead cat bounce.
The Haitians have been eating dead cats (or have they?)
And now it’s Schrodinger’s turn.

What amazes me about Trump are the new ideas that aren’t just stupid unfeasible fantasies, or addressing made up problems, example Climate Change nonsense.

***Trump and/or his team actually have realistic and new ideas for real problems that affect the average American.***

Two quick examples:

1.) Trump had a pharma mandate to control drug costs. Creative, but also feasible: US manufactured drugs may not be sold for more inside the US than outside the US!

2.) To address the massive amount of government red tape/regulations (51,000 pages of double sided, size 10 font, double column) he requiring the removal of two regulations for every new one added.

Trump is a breath of fresh air for a government that is stale, sterile, and frankly impotent in dealing with the real problems plaguing most Americans. Look at FEMA right now and how they are screwing things up in their attempt at helping people in the Carolina’s. Government ALWAYS attempts to fix any problem in one of three ways:

1.) More laws and lots of government regulations (how much water a toilet may use per flush, what light-bulb you may use)
2.) More taxes on things deemed bad today (increase taxes on CO2, gasoline, tobacco, fire arms...)
3.) More spending on things deemed good today (Obama phones, more free school lunches...)

And that’s really it when it comes to how government (the political ruling class and our bureaucracy) proposes to fix all domestic issues: make rules, tax and spend. Sadly, Covid is an example of where government (under the leadership of Fauci) got what they wanted, they over rode Trump and got nearly 100% of what they proposed as solutions which was all about massive rules, massive spending, and massive fines if you’re non-compliant. How did that turn out?

Trump is more than the usual President.

Like Reagan, that man needs to reinvent Government and how it serves the people.

elegant. I kept thinking maybe he means Heisenberg, you may know where you are but don’t know the trend, or visa versa, but that would be any election

From the article: “If you’re a Trump supporter and you expect Trump to win, that’s no reason to slack off. “

I support Trump 100% and I will vote.

But I question if he will win.

2020 proved beyond reasonable doubt that the elections in this nation are manipulated.

The candidate who is better connected to the bureaucracy (establishment) and has support of the oligarchs (MSM & big tech support, PACs, campaign funding), usually wins.

You are so correct. I mean, the scary part is that Kamala Harris, drunk, clueless Kamala Harris, without ever having to face any tough questions, or go through the primaries gauntlet - could be elected president. We might escape a bullet this year, but the fact that Harris has been given even a shred of credibility does not bode well for the future of this country.

That's funny right there, I don't care who you are, that's funny.

They will certainly cheat wherever they can get away with it - and in 2020 they got away with A LOT.

There is one advantage they had in 2020 that may not be forthcoming in 2024:

The deep state perpetrators who organized the cheating and recruited armies of ballot traffickers and worker bees were able to draw from a huge urban population of angry Trump-hating BLM, ANTIFA, feminists, and other Summer of Love rioters, making their recruiting efforts almost organic. They could literally walk onto any campus or city street and find thousands eager to help screw Trump out of a second term - no questions asked.

This time around, I really don’t see the cheating enthusiasm to be nearly as high as it was four years ago - and at the very least, potential recruits will be asking questions - such as… will I be doing anything illegal?

Most importantly, recruiters will need to be wary of walking into a Project Veritas type ambush.

No thanks to corrupt lawmakers and judges, I think the cheating will be far less than in 2020.

Years ago, before the era of the media conglomerates and big tech which really monopolize the Internet, you did have a more free and watchdog media.

Today, you basically have a few people which control what you get to see and hear.

—MSM in the West: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ksb3KD6DfSI You really just have a few original content providers, and a few media conglomerates who own it all. They simply break it down by demographics (identity) in a way so that a black, white, homo, Asian, female, Latino (Telemuno is MSNBC) face and voice gives the same crap: https://www.reddit.com/r/coolguides/comments/fs5g0b/more_than_90_of_the_us_media_is_controlled_by/#lightbox

—Internet: Google is de facto search engine monopoly. Meta (94 different companies) is a de facto social media monopoly.

Look at Biden. The guy farts before royals, shits his pants, gets lost on stage, mumbles incoherently, falls up stairs, and the MSM fact checkers are there to make sure everything is either false or unproven. You can have a room full of people, a royal talk about it endlessly because he let an extended one rip right before her doing the leg lift, and our MSM will downplay it and fact check it as unproven: https://nypost.com/2021/11/07/camilla-parker-bowles-keeps-talking-about-biden-fart-at-cop26/ And this is what the fact checkers will claim: https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/biden-fart-duchess-cornwall/

Having the MSM (or at least 84% of it) and big tech on your side is a huge advantage. They shape perceptions for most people.

The Democrat Party Organized Crime Syndicate is not concerned with governing the country.

They are concerned with stealing and doing their foreign masters bidding.

Yes, the metaphors write themselves ;-)

My vote:

Open the box!

(the ‘closed box’ serves the puppet metaphor - plus advances the ‘true pandemic - and spells doom for the entire planet under quantum theory. But one could argue that is the endgame...)

The country is SO much different than it was in 2020. Americans of both parties have been pummelled by constant chaos ever since the Democrats took power. I'm betting even the low-info we vote Democrat because our family has always voted Democrat voters have discovered this is definitely not their father or grandfather's Democrat party.

No thanks to corrupt lawmakers and judges, I think the cheating will be far less than in 2020.

The Democrats publicly announced they are trying for 9 million overseas votes. There are 2.8 million eligible American voters overseas, and almost no safeguards. So.... I think you need to listen to Scott Adams' podcast (of Dilbert fame) on Rumble or Apple podcast. There are several other mechanisms for cheating, and the signs are everywhere. You won't hear about them on mainstream "news" sources.

Harris’s none campaign is a repeat of Biden’s none campaign because they have complete confidence that the fix is in and the media will not dare to call it out.

“You won’t hear about them on mainstream “news” sources.”

You’re right, because I don’t listen to mainstream “news” sources - even when FReepers try to push it on me here.

As for Scott Adams - I’m a regular follower - but I stand by my prediction that Democrat cheating won’t be as effective as in 2020. True, a lot of illegals will vote Democrat - but the fraud “machines” in major swing state cities like Philadelphia will not be as prolific as they were in 2020 for reasons already stated.
