According to aides that spoke to CNN, Tim Walz is having a hard time keeping his nerves under control for Tuesday's debate with JD Vance. Aides say Walz has expressed a lack of confidence in his ability to go up against a "trained lawyer-type" like Vance.
Walz is also feeling pressure that a bad performance will disappoint Kamala Harris who has already privately expressed frustrations with Walz's awkwardness and blunders on the campaign trail, such as referring to her as a "prostitutor."
Gwen Walz is angry that her husband is being put through the humiliation of debating Vance.
The joy is gone.

He seems to have played with the big boys and got owned. He is puppet and his wife, if true, acts like Hillary knockoff made in China. I would need to know more about her but I really don’t care.

I have heard JD Vance talk in several interviews, some on the more hostile side.

Walz is thin-skinned and doesn’t take criticism well. The moderators will jump in and cover for him.
If the Tiffany Network tries any of that they are toast.

—Younger (connects with young folks)
—Good looking (it matters)
—Big balls (not a Pence)
—Easy name to remember (name recognition)
Trump and or his advisors did well on that one. The first time around they had Pence, who was horrible. I tried to like the guy and give him the benefit of doubt. But at almost every juncture where it really mattered, Pence disappointed.
