That verse cannot be used to support a “secret” Rapture that occurs before the Second Coming, and as far as I’m aware, it wasn’t used that way before 19th century America.
The “parousia” which will affect everyone at the end of the world will be a dramatic and eye-catching event, and *no one* will be caught by surprise.
The “secret rapture” taught by the likes of Darby and promoted by Dispensationalists/the Scofield Reference Bible is a modern invention, relatively speaking.
This is a poll not a debate. Please just state your position feel free to define your terms but please refrain from debate on the topic. Looking to get a sense of where FReepers align themselves- lots of threads out there for debate.
After the flop of one generation after 1948 I gave up on end times stuff and just focus on the gospel sin and redemption. I guess I align with pre trib folk.

Aren't there some religious organizations that teach when Christians die they go straight to heaven?
And I am curious if anyone has changed their position in light of a more thorough study of the bible.
I believe those sealed by Christ - His Bride - will be called to meet Him in the clouds to be taken back to the Father’s house for a wedding to the Son.
“Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
During this time, the end time events including the judgements on Israel and the world will unfold. It will be horrendous.
At the end of the tribulation judgments, Christ will return with His saints (Bride) to slay His enemies and to rule over the earth.
Therefore millennium will unfold after this reining period.
Therefore, pre trib rapture and premillennial.
