Via its institutional mouthpiece, the New York Times, the American and international far Left has laid out its battle plan for the 2024 presidential election and beyond: "The Resistance to a New Trump Administration Has Already Started." Written by a hard-core trained cadre of ideological reporter-editorialists, including Trump frenemy Maggie Haberman, Charlie Savage, Reid J. Epstein, and Jonathan Swan, it is an open declaration of war on the rest of us. In many ways, this is the prequel to Molly Ball's infamous explainer, "The Secret History of the Shadow Campaign That Saved the 2020 Election," which appeared early in 2021:
There was a conspiracy unfolding behind the scenes, one that both curtailed the protests and coordinated the resistance from CEOs. Both surprises were the result of an informal alliance between left-wing activists and business titans. The pact was formalized in a terse, little-noticed joint statement of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and AFL-CIO published on Election Day. Both sides would come to see it as a sort of implicit bargain–inspired by the summer’s massive, sometimes destructive racial-justice protests–in which the forces of labor came together with the forces of capital to keep the peace and oppose Trump’s assault on democracy.
As they say, history is written by the winners. Now, however, the Times let the word go forth, from this time and place: even if they can't stop Trump from winning in a campaign against a corrupt, barely articulate, superannuated, semi-ambulatory rutabaga named Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr., the Left is fully prepared to obstruct his second administration by -- to use their favorite expression, "any means necessary."

Maggie’s going to vote for him. She can’t admit it, though.
The never geared down
Democrats have no qualms about breaking the law to oppose Trump because there’s no one to hold them accountable.
Members of the “resistance” — elected officials, civil servants, members of the press — should be arrested on some sort of charge and then held in a cell. Their trial can begin in 5 years or so. There is space at Gitmo. And in addition, the lawyers they choose to defend them should also be arrested on some sort of charge and also sent to Gitmo. If they eventually have trouble hiring lawyers, then a public defender fresh out of law school can be appointed.
Well, I appreciate their warning.
We’re in the Calm Before The Storm.
The Republican Party must make bold policy changes to stop Garland and his fellow travelers.
Relying on Trump’s coattails will not be sufficient.
Trump is likely to be wearing NY Department of Corrections clothing in the months before voting.
Relying on traditional Republican campaign marketing will not be sufficient. The Democrats will happily buy the votes of college graduates at $10,000 to $20,000 each.
The issues younger people face must be addressed. Perhaps by limiting estate tax deductions to student loan payoff and UK-style housing association funding.
The issues older people face must be addressed.
The Republicans in Congress should try to send to the states a constitutional amendment that would cap middle class property taxation, such as:
Property tax on any residential property of less than 2799 square feet of finished space shall be no higher the 2019 dollar amount on the property, or for a newer or since resold property what a similar property in the same area would have been taxed at for 2019 if it lacked owner specific tax breaks, increased by 3% per calendar year since 2019 and by any percentage increase to its finished living space.
Fighting for such a property tax cap now in Congress would add the electors of several deep blue states to Trump’s total and make Congress turn deep red come November.
Even devoted Democratic voters do not want to get taxed out of their homes.
We also need to cap the ability of Democrats to buy votes by a middle-class income tax cap in the federal constitution.
Fighting for such a middle-class income tax cap now in Congress would add the electors of several deep blue states to Trump’s total and make Congress turn deep red come November.
[perhaps]
Federal income taxation shall be capped as follows, on personal income:
below the average yearly apartment rent in the District of Columbia, 10%,
below the median federal full-time civilian employee compensation amount, 22%,
below the average employee compensation of the 100,000 best paid federal full-time civilian employees, 30%,
below the average employee compensation of the 10,000 best paid federal full-time civilian employees, 40%.
[Note: All percentages to include employee FICA. They would not fully include self-employment tax, so people that pay SE tax might choose to voluntarily invest in the SS system or otherwise arrange for their own retirement funding.]
[Anything that the IRS would as of January 1, 2024 legally be able to collect income tax on if provided to any person would be considered compensation.]
The Democrats sound like they are just an opposition political party merely trying to elect someone to a government job who they feel will get the most efficient and effective use out of every hard earned American Taxpayer dollar.
Hahahahahahahahaha!
They sound like criminals afraid their crime network might be crumbling down and their Democrat Crime Families won’t be able to steal for them.
Go get a real job and do some honest work!
What a collection. Lawfare for thee but not for me huh?
News flash, there is no polite and legal way to win against the attack.
they’ve been at war since 2015. the problem is their standard-bearer blew it. no one cares about flaws in a leader when they have to decide between filling their car and putting food on the talbe.
With a Democrat policalbgovernment ? Good luck with that!
Federalize property tax? Are you nuts?
All the states have to do is follow what California did in 1978: your property tax is set at 1% of the sale price and increases are capped at 2% per year. In our federalist Republic, the states are free to enact these measures on their own.
*table
It would never stand a Constitutional test.
It pains me to say this but the Anti-Trump Resistance is likely to win in a romp. The Conservative movement is non-threatening and likes to appear of Fox news or write strongly worded letters that are ignored by our Washington Felon Class. The Republican Party is fractured between NeverTrumps, Neocons and sell outs, with a scattering of decent people thrown in for good measure. Opposing this is the Resistance who uses the works of Marx as a guide. I hope I’m wrong, but this looks like a one round knockout.
