A small town in Wisconsin is currently under Federal review after making a decision to eliminate electronic voting machines and replace them with paper ballots.
In June 2023, board members of the town of Thornapple in Rusk County, Wisconsin, decided to stop using electronic voting machines for elections and instead rely entirely on hand-counting ballots.
The decision by board members has since caught the attention of the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division, which is now investigating the move.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that Suzanne Pinnow, who serves as Thornapple’s chief election official, received a letter from the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division seeking information about why the town decided to get rid of electronic machines and how the township is helping to accommodate disabled voters in the process.

Give them the finger and proceed. There is no law requiring a county to use voting machines.
Paper ballots need to be backup in every precinct in the United States. As usual the FBI chose the wrong side to be on...
Evil. Pure evil.
Ignore their stupid letter.

Much more difficult to cheat with paper ballots.
With electronic machines, it is just a few mouse clicks.
I want paper ballots AND purple fingers.
Other countries manage to do paper ballots and have the results the same night. Why are we so inferior?
You’re exactly right đź‘Ť
Sheesh.
We can’t have honest elections not subject to the potential for cheating, now can we?
That could cost the DS its grip on power.

There’s not a damn thing wrong with that.
We had honest elections back then.
No election process is perfect.
When it comes to elections, accuracy and resistance to manipulation should be more important than convenience.
Today’s election process: Only those who are happy with the outcome claim elections are fair nowadays.

If I was a betting man I would bet that every State has in place a means to facilitate the vote for the disabled, which in my opinion would amount to LESS THAN ONE PERCENT OF THE VOTING POPULATION, and said Department of injustice is well aware of that fact due to the mountain of law piled high to protect miniscule amounts of US population for the purpose of further reducing what ever power any State might exercise relative to the ninth and tenth amendments to the US Constitution.
Yes my FR friends it is way past high time for at least red States to ignore anything coming from the corrupt Federal Government in regards to anything they might attempt to use to further usurp the rights, privileges, principles, and liberty of “We the People” or the States that gave even a smidgeon of power to what has now become the Federal leviathon.
Vote by phone. App is easy to build and the database is already there. Anyone with a SS# can vote. On election day, a copy of the SS database is created. You login to the app using your SS# as ID and you have two factor authentication. You vote, and your name is removed from the database so that you cannot vote again. Pretty simple and can be created in less than three months.
An audit log in generated as the official record. It removes cheating at the source, makes mail in ballots obsolete as well as going to the polls to vote. You can do this for both national and local elections as well as for ballot initiatives. For local, you go by address on file and those addressed are rolled up into congressional districts. Again, extremely simple.
What’s best about this method is pretty much everyone has a cell phone or access to one. Which means no disenfranchisement.
How is an electronic machine any easier to use than a paper ballot for the disabled?
Funny the civil “rights” division had no issue with paper mail in ballots or dementia patients in nursing homes voting in mass for xiden.
Glad to see our govt still has their priorities right /s
Do the J6 detainees get to use electronic or paper ballots, bet the division is looking into that, again /s
Not sure about the security of that, imagine some well funded IT folks could figure a hack for that
Imagine you go to vote on the app and you find that it says you have already voted, how do you challenge that if all the i’s are dotted and t’s are crossed according to the app
Never underestimate what people will do to hold on to power
“There is no law requiring a county to use voting machines.”
Plus, Feds have no business interfering with state and local election law and procedures.
“Anyone with a SS# can vote.”
Even the illegals who have been granted SSN’s?
Just as important as paper ballots is that they be counted IN the precinct, and NEVER leave until all challenges are satisfied. Once ballots are sent to a central location, their number can be “augmented” without the opportunity to review that against the total number of people who showed up to vote.
Tell the Feds they lack jurisdiction.
“Even the illegals who have been granted SSN’s?
Would you rather have a few million illegals from blue states voting or dead people, ballot harvesters and midnight shenanigans by radical leftists deciding our elections?
I know the answer is neither, however that isn’t a viable option at this time. Plus, my suggestion forces the Democrats hands since it removes all of their arguments on why we need mail in voting.
