Amidst all the liberal outrage over NBC's hiring of Ronna McDaniel, CNN offered an example this morning of what passes for a perfectly acceptable revolving-door hire.
CNN commentator Ashley Allison was on a CNN This Morning panel to discuss Trump's hawking of a God Bless America Bible.
Allison was the National Coalitions Director for Biden-Harris 2020 and deputy director and senior policy advisor for the Obama White House Office of Public Engagement, where she strategized on running campaigns during "the Resistance." Her bio features her commitment to "equity."
Allison displayed a combination of fearmongering and ignorance about America's founding. Allison claimed that the U.S. was "founded on the separation of church and state." Hunt echoed that misstatement of the First Amendment, which, of course, says nothing about "separation," prohibiting only the "establishment" of a state religion.
Allison went on to claim that if elected, Trump will try to impose a theocracy. As she put it, "This is a preview again of how Trump sees the way he wants to rule the world, through an authoritative theology, which is one way, which is. I'm a Christian, but Trump's governing approach will be, "The Bible is the route in which we are going to govern this country."

We see you, Author of this piece, Revelation 3:9 refers to you.
I gave the Lee Greenwood USA bible to my son and daughter in law as a wedding gift.
Thanks Mark. The WORDS of Ashley Allison
Not only that, but Donald Trump will no doubt force everyone to organize beauty pageants, gamble at casinos and play golf.
Ashley:
Read It.
Then argue.
I’m waiting.
Well, at least you’ll have one then...................
Here is Trump under assault by the left, spending millions to defend himself, facing jail time by kangaroo courts, running for president and he still has the band width to stick it to the liberals. Gotta love Trump.
I question whether she has even cracked open a Bible, or that she is literate.
If one party can use the bible to govern this country, then the door is opened for another party to use the Quran to govern this country.
I want a government so weak and ineffective and unable to influence anything that it would be ZERO difference if every single elected official was Christian, Satanist, or Muslim.
If it were the Geneva Bible, I’d say she should worry. The KJV predated my ancestor’s move here.
Coo Coo for Cocoa Puffs
Don’t worry Allison, if you want to continue to be a Crystal Methodist, no one will stop you.
Not sure what you are saying here... But the Geneva predated the KJV, it is said to be the bible the pilgrims brought with them. From the few direct comparisons I have made, the King James is almost a cold copy of it, they might use the word "and" instead of "but" here or there.
I have the Patriots edition of the 1599 Geneva and the copyright date on it is 2010, It has all those same founding documents in it plus some. Pretty sure that was before Lee Greenwood started marketing his.
My question is why is this a news story now?? This bible has been around for along time and also Trump's endorsement has been on the website long before he mentioned it in his speech the other day.
Turnabout is fair play.
BTW, if you don’t like the”oppression” why don’t you say something to Biden about turning over Afghanistan to the Taliban, while leaving behind $80 billion in equipment?
Of course we all know that our earliest Congress had Bibles printed. I’ll have to go back and find some documentation for you.
Aitkin Bible
Thanks for the info!
Why now? You have to ask? Trump, the Blasphemer. The image causes hysteria. Gotta keep people riled up.
