Another example is the film Lucy. Scarlett Johansson as the lead fighting evil forces. Made a fortune. It was a good movie with a female lead that people enjoyed. But it wasn’t about female empowerment. It was just a good movie.
Kill Bill was fun too; that was a Tarantino movie. A revenge theme. Worked great. It was a great story. Uma Thurman created the characters with Tarantino. There was subtext to it too - a woman wronged by an evil industrious man for merely wanting to keep her baby. You could read a lot into that theme.

Disney is a textbook example of just begging for a shareholder lawsuit. These idiots have intentionally destroyed an incredible amount of shareholder value by insisting on pushing their hard left politics into everything. The result is Disney is in serious trouble.

Ultimately a business exists to meet the customer’s needs and wants—as the customer needs and wants them.
If the business executive wants to change those needs and wants they will risk the business in doing so—and should not be surprised if their efforts fail and even destroy the brand.
He is not evil. He is not trying to get his principles killed. He just acts as if this was a normal security job keeping over enthusiastic fans at bay and burglars out rather then the start of a no holds barred shooting war. And yes, he was told, he just did not believe.
The female who replaced him did not forget it. So girls rule, guys drool? Well, no, because the guy who filled in between the two of them also did not forget and managed to save the day despite being on the job all of five minutes before the attack came. And part of the reason she did not forget was because she arrived for the interview while they were still carting the bodies away. That does have a bit of an impact. So subtly pushing the "women can do it" but without saying that "men are stupid and incompetent."
That is how you work in THE MESSAGE without making your reader want to throw your book across the room.

On the other hand, so many of Ford’s scenes in the last movie had him artificially restored by youth by computer graphics, that the movies just might go on with him even after he’s passed on.

On the heels of Florida’s new Parental Rights in Education law, which bars educators from instructing kindergarten through third-grade students about sexual ideology, multiple executives and employees from the Walt Disney Company admitted their own personal missions to deluge 5- to 9-year-olds with as much of their own sexual ideology as possible.
One Disney executive boasted about her “not-at-all-secret gay agenda” and efforts at “adding queerness to” children’s programming, in leaked audio published by investigative journalist Chris Rufo on Tuesday.
“Our leadership over there has been so welcoming to my, like, not-at-all-secret gay agenda,” said Latoya Raveneau, an executive producer for Disney Television Animation. “I was just, wherever I could, just basically adding queerness … No one would stop me and no one was trying to stop me.”
