Smudge, an 18-year-old rescue cat, is undeniably enormous. Despite her parents' love for her chubby figure, they recognize the need for her to shed a few pounds for better health. However, Smudge's idea of fun involves snuggling under a blanket and having meals served to her, which isn't conducive to weight loss. Consequently, her parents had to employ innovative methods to address the issue.

I am of a completely different species. I have pets. I am their owner, or at the furthest their companion, as they are my companions.
Anthropomorphizing animals is beyond ridiculous, and cheapens both the animals and humanity.

I know this clinic, and the vet who founded it. They do a lot of interesting treatments for animals, including acupuncture.

I’ve long had a fancy for the old study of acupuncture, and found out it works fine on me. And though I am aware that it is done on animals as well, I wonder how they could have figured that out.

My friend said when you watch the animal relax it is obvious that the acupuncture is working. They can’t “talk themselves into it” like a person might. It just works or it doesn’t!
