former Secret Service agent, Paul Landis, who was present at President John F. Kennedy's assassination, recently came forward with a revelation that challenges the 'magic bullet' theory and raises questions about the possibility of a second shooter. Landis, now 88 years old, shared his recollection with the New York Times nearly 60 years after the tragic event. He claimed that in the chaos following the shooting, he discovered a nearly pristine bullet on the back seat of the open limousine, just behind where Kennedy had been sitting when he was killed. Landis preserved the bullet for autopsy investigators by placing it on the president's hospital stretcher.

I’ve heard this one before so not sure this some sort of bombshell. In fact, when I was at the Dallas Book Depository museum there was a film that talked about this. It is a great museum so if you get a chance check it out if you haven’t. But like you said, what was the caliber?
I had read how the pristine bullet showed up mysteriously on the gurney. Why didn’t he tell anyone he put it there at that time? I assume the bullet impacted something so why is it still pristine?
At this point I’m skeptical and using the NYT as the outlet makes me wonder what is really going on with this particular story and its timing.

I thought the original story was the magic bullet had to have gone through Kennedy and the governor, but if the guy found it in the car where Kennedy was sitting then that destroys the original story. Too many bullet holes for just Oswald to be the only shooter. I think.

I have seen a recreation of the path of the bullet and it was not like that at all. Pretty straight line in fact.
That’s not the point. The point is, it was not found on a hospital gurney. It was found in the car on the back seat behind JFK‘s position. The Secret Service agent says he picked it up and placed it on the gurney because it was evidence towards the autopsy. That means it was fired from front to back, not from the rear. And it not being found on the gurney means it didn’t fall out of Connellys thigh. So there is no more magic bullet theory.
Brandon Herrera tried to duplicate the “Pristine bullet” that is claimed could never happen. Boy, was he surprised.

Exactly. But it was assumed that that bullet came out of Connally when he was on the gurney. If it was in the backseat where Kennedy was then it can’t be the magic bullet. There had to be another shot that wounded the governor.
From everything that I have read and seen in my opinion Oswald was the only shooter. I've seen the most believable explanation based on science and facts regarding the actual shooting that I have based my opinion on.
Now, as for the motive and people behind the assassination, that is something entirely different that I cannot really pin down. There are so many different valid theories that I really cannot make a determination about. CIA, Mob, Lone-wolf Communist, LBJ, etc...
But, like I said, it is my opinion.

It’s too bad when important evidence somehow gets lost. They “lost” Kennedy’s brain too. The government story is that three shots were fired by Oswald. One missed entirely, one hit both Kennedy and Connally (and was supposedly found on the gurney), and the final shot which killed Kennedy. If there’s a fourth bullet that ruins the government story, because Oswald couldn’t physically fire that many shots, based on the timing in the Zapruder film.
And this guy is a coward or a liar. Way to wait until no one cares, and/or until the people that killed him have COMPLETE control over the government as to render anything this old fart says worthless as his life ultimately will be.

no, we always have known about the “magic” bullet. What’s new is the SS agent picked it up off the seat of the limo. This indirectly calls into question the idea only 3 bullets were shot.
Anyway, if you know ballistics (guns), there is no way that undeformed bullet did the “job” they said it did, breaking bones, and changing direction after hitting bone . The bullet would have been deformed.
Any thinking person with gun experience knows that bullet could not have done that and not be deformed and dropped out onto the seat of the limo.
More likely it was planted.
