I could have a good time sitting here with a pretty French girl and cupping a nice
tête de cuvée.

I find his work cartoonish. But I like it!

One of my favorite Dr. Who episodes. When the docent in the museum is talking about the effect Vincent had on the world is a beautiful moment.

My paternal grandmother was born in 1872. So she almost beat him.

‘... I could have told you, Vincent... this world was never meant for one as beautiful as you...’
I especially like ‘..’the silver thorn of bloody rose, lies crushed and broken on the virgin snow...’
I have to confess this song was my doorway to appreciating Van Gogh...

I was kinda “meh” on Van Gogh until I saw works of his in person.

There is an “immersive” Vincent Van Gogh exhibit in the Armory in Schenectady NY, If you are able, go see it. It is remarkable.

I love his series of almond blossoms... I have the red one hanging on my wall... I was thinking of hanging this blue one to complement it. He was inspired to these by Japanese textile prints... he had a great appreciation of Japanese art... his move to the South of France was because he believed the sunlight there was similar to that of Japan.
