To: Varda

I love his series of almond blossoms... I have the red one hanging on my wall... I was thinking of hanging this blue one to complement it. He was inspired to these by Japanese textile prints... he had a great appreciation of Japanese art... his move to the South of France was because he believed the sunlight there was similar to that of Japan.

That’s very interesting. That was a time when Japanese art was very influential.
I wanted this as a large mural for the wall behind my bed. That never happened so I settled for a phone case with this on it.

I also was meh on Van Gogh for a time until I saw his works at an exhibition. They blew me away. Photographs don’t do them justice.
