I like the fields, especially the ones filled with sunlight.

My favorite field picture is 'Crows'.. also believed to be his last picture he was painting just before he died.

The one on my wall gives the impression that the wheat is 'giving birth' to the crows... because of the shapes...

An addict, contracted a STD from brothels, never sold a painting, completely supported by his brother Theo.

Ahhh....the life of an artist. I do love all of his paintings though.

Yes... his potato eaters was his first complete work while he was still in Holland... it is breath taking in effect...

I love how the light dominates the center...

In Goodland Kansas they honour him with an oversized copy of one of his sunflowers paintings. I happen to know of this since I had a breakdown there and stayed in a motel across the road from it. Also added to the knowledge base that Kansas is known as the Sunflower state.

Edvard Munch’s Scream seems fitting today.

We saw it in Los Angeles and you’re right it is spectacular.
My wife and I really enjoyed it. They had another later on Frieda Kahlo which we didn’t see. It’s being preformed all over the world.

Very immersive. If it was done in the 60s when I was in college every one would have been high

I grew up in farm country, so it’s nostalgia for me. The dark skies are ominous to me, give me the light. His work does make you feel though.

I loved his boots.

One so worn to make it fit the opposite foot

That and the men sanding the floor

He has done a great job of painting what was basically a dark room and only one source of light. I wonder what his relationship was with the people. The two on the right and left have simian features.

‘Almond Blossom’ hung in my bedroom for many years. My sister wanted it, so I traded her for an Andrew Wyeth. ;)

One of the best episodes of Doctor Who ever.

And, having Bill Nighy as the museum director was fantastic casting.

If you haven’t seen, ‘Loving Vincent’ treat yourself. His paintings come to LIFE, as does his sad life story. I found it mesmerizing.

That’s very interesting. That was a time when Japanese art was very influential.
I wanted this as a large mural for the wall behind my bed. That never happened so I settled for a phone case with this on it.

I also was meh on Van Gogh for a time until I saw his works at an exhibition. They blew me away. Photographs don’t do them justice.
