Ron DeSantis And Gavin Newsom: What Will They Do In 2024?
19FortyFive ^ | 11/27/2022 | W. James Antle

Now all eyes are on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. He is also coming off a big reelection win in a state that has become a symbol of his party’s governance nationwide. He and Newsom were putting themselves in position to run for president while respecting the frontrunner status of former President Donald Trump and Biden, respectively.

Though weakened by the midterms, Trump has already announced he is running for president again in 2024. Biden was strengthened by them, and while a final decision is still forthcoming, he appears to be leaning heavily in favor of seeking a second term.

Nope. it is not possible because they are set up to always be able to top whatever vote the GOP candidate gets. That is why we have long numerous election days now. There will always be an emergency and the absolute must for maile in, ranked choice, earlier and earlier voting.

The real topper is the democrats don’t care anymore if any of it looks legit because we aren’t going to do a damn thing about it. Face it, we can’t even speak about their fraudulent actions now.

I am tired of watching the same old story over aand over and pretending like we can change the ending at the voting booth. The book is written and it needs a good burning to save this country. One man alone cannot do it.

I think Ron should go for it. I think he can win. I love Trump but the baggage man is hard to let go of for most people.

Do you actually believe any politician could accomplish all that Donald Trump accomplished with the Democrats, Justice, FBI and Media making up crap and prosecuting him for it?

Your overwhelming obsession to insult FReepers does not sway anyone to support your preferred candidate for an election two years away.

You might consider taking a break and reading The Art of the Deal and How to win friends and influence people.

People are going to keep thinking and doing the same thing because the alternatives mean too much sacrifice and we all suffer from normalcy bias. We don’t even have mass protests like those folks in Brazil.

We do know now why we do the same thing over and over and get the same result.

The only way to deal with someone exhibiting Trump Derangement Syndrome is with derision, ridicule and humorous abuse.

In the state of New Jersey we have a mandatory retirement age of state/school/local government workers at 72

To make room for the new recruits to those jobs? At that age, all government workers will have medicare and pensions, so, retiring them is not a big deal

Besides, 72 is an arbitrary age, and those that can work and think, should not be forced into retirement.

Newsom ran commercials in Florida giving away his lust for more power.

Newsom also helped to hype DeSantis, hurt Trump and divide Republicans.

I think it’s amazing that Steve Dahle the Republican state senator who ran against Newsom is at 40.7 percent of the vote he ran ahead of the GOP US Senate candidate.

They have 97 percent of the vote counted the recall vote was around 36 percent in favor so I see rising opposition to Newsom in an environment where the population is inclined to support Democrats.

The red wave did happen in FLA. It happened because DeSantis locked out the cheating. This truth has been completely killed and FNC led the effort. That treasonous prick Ryan and the Murdoch kids made sure of it. The only person who can bring it back to life is DeSantis. It really wouldn’t take that much on his part and it would be an act of patriotism.

Why would DeSantis side with the arrogant establishment uniparty loser snobs that followed Fauci and tried to shutdown FL over covid, and mandate CRT in the classroom? And beggar the US by supporting that deranged little Globo-eroticist actor posing as a Ukrainian leader while using Ukraine as a Russian live fire killing exercise?

You think their money can buy him to split conservatives and hand the election ( so-called) to another predestined democrat winner preselected by. corporatist-big tech corrupted selected state electoral elections?

What if the side he chooses is to stay in FL
Given his record, why doubt his principles now?

And then I'll do exactly what I did in 2020. Vote for the guy who loses the election. Of course, I'll probably have to hear how "We wuz robbed!" and Trump is again owed the nomination in '28 to enact his revenge.

Their reasoning is completely circular. If Trump wins, it proves how much support he had. But if he loses, its only because he was robbed. To them, there is no possible universe in which Trump loses just because a majority of voters don't want him to win. They live in echo chambers where the vast majority of Americans are MAGA, and just aren't open to the idea that there are a whole lot of leftist and swing voters who just don't like the guy.

You are just throwing insults about that have no basis in fact. "Never stand up to China." Then explain this and this.

Your fanatical support of Donald Trump is making you see demons where they don't exist. Your abundant energy would be better spent if it was directed at our true enemies.

I live in FL. In Ft Myers. DeSantiss has been outstanding. I highly approve of his job as Gov. As for 24, the people like Jeb Bush and Paul Ryan line up behind him and all it says to me is the uniparty came up with a price my Gov liked.

I support Trump because of who HATES him.

Should the government add or increase tariffs on products imported into the country?
“No, a global free trade system is better for our businesses and consumers”

Ron DeSantis’ answer is based on the following data:

DeSantis: Trump's Overall Goal Is Not About Hiking Tariffs

Rep. Ron DeSantis said Monday he is not someone who advocates tariffs, but he doesn't want to undercut President Donald Trump's negotiations in other countries. Further, he told Fox Business' "Mornings with Maria," he does not think doesn't think the president's overall goal is to hike tariffs. "I want to have lower barriers and I want free trade, but the president has been very clear that he doesn't like that imbalance in ways that other countries treat our products, versus how we treat theirs," the Florida Republican, whose campaign for governor Trump has endorsed, said.
