Welcome to my newest update on Putin’s War in Ukraine. We are now 36 weeks — 254 days — since Russia launched an unprovoked attack on Ukraine. My last update can be found at Putin’s War, Week 35. The Lull Before the Next Storm. There has been some action, but the crappy weather has slowed things down. Also, both sides are somewhat tired after a punishing summer’s campaigning. I look at this period as the break when the fighters have returned to their corners.
Two significant items have been covered outside this update. First, the Pentagon is beefing up the number of weapons inspectors to ensure that weapons allocated to the Ukrainian Army end up there. Naturally, the folks who have been cheering Putin are claiming that this is a nefarious first step towards the US military fighting Russia a la Kennedy’s Special Forces advisors in South Vietnam. I think that is bullsh**, YMMV. If you’re interested, read more at The Pentagon Sends Weapons Security Inspectors to Ukraine; if You Thought Those Opposing Aid to Ukraine Were Happy, Think Again.
The second item is that after Ukraine launched an air-sea drone attack on Russia’s Black Sea Fleet at anchor in Sevastopol (Ukraine Carries out Extensive Drone Attack on Russia’s Black Sea Fleet Sevastopol Homeport), Putin declared that Russia was leaving the agreement that allowed Ukrainian grain to be shipped out of the war zone. By Wednesday, he’d backed down (Vladimir Putin Rejoins Ukraine Grain Deal After He Finds No One Cared That He Left).

This is a Putin vs Ukraine war.
As to the minsk agreement, Minsk II collapsed because of differing interpretations on the agreements between Ukraine and R7, thereby making the Minsk II agreements worthless, namely -
1. Ukraine saw the Minsk II 2015 agreement to re-establish control over the rebel territories. It wants a ceasefire, control of the Russia-Ukraine border, elections in the Donbas, and a limited devolution of power to the separatists – in that order.
2. Russia viewed the Minsk II 2015 deal as obliging Ukraine to grant rebel authorities in Donbas comprehensive autonomy and representation in the central government, effectively giving Moscow the power to veto Kyiv’s policy choices. Only then would Russia return the Russia-Ukraine border to Kyiv’s control.
If you are American, would you like to lose your sovereign rights and have Canada or Mexico have representation in Congress, effectively giving Mexico and Canada power to veto the USA’s policy choices?
Furthermore, According to the Minsk agreements Russia had to withdraw all their forces from the occupied Ukrainian territory. They have never done that
E pluribus unum “(Gorbachev agreed on dismantling the eastern Soviet bloc on condition that we would not bring countries bordering Russia into NATO”
That’s a lie which even Gorbachev said was a lie and no such promise was made.
Why do you keep repeating a lie?
The agreement on not deploying foreign troops on the territory of the former GDR was incorporated in Article 5 of the Treaty on the Final Settlement with Respect to Germany, which was signed on September 12, 1990 by the foreign ministers of the two Germanys, the United States, Soviet Union, Britain and France. Article 5 had three provisions:
1. Until Soviet forces had completed their withdrawal from the former GDR, only German territorial defense units not integrated into NATO would be deployed in that territory.
2. There would be no increase in the numbers of troops or equipment of U.S., British and French forces stationed in Berlin.
3. Once Soviet forces had withdrawn, German forces assigned to NATO could be deployed in the former GDR, but foreign forces and nuclear weapons systems would not be deployed there.
When one reads the full text of the Woerner speech http://nato.int/docu/speech/1990/s900517a_e.htm
cited by Putin, it is clear that the secretary general’s comments referred to NATO forces in eastern Germany, not a broader commitment not to enlarge the Alliance.
Here is a link to Gorbachev’s interview http://rbth.com/international/2014/10/16/mikhail_gorbachev_i_am_against_all_walls_40673.html
The interviewer asked why Gorbachev did not “insist that the promises made to you [Gorbachev]—particularly U.S. Secretary of State James Baker’s promise that NATO would not expand into the East—be legally encoded?” Gorbachev replied: “The topic of ‘NATO expansion’ was not discussed at all, and it wasn’t brought up in those years. … Another issue we brought up was discussed: making sure that NATO’s military structures would not advance and that additional armed forces would not be deployed on the territory of the then-GDR after German reunification. Baker’s statement was made in that context… Everything that could have been and needed to be done to solidify that political obligation was done. And fulfilled.”
Gorbachev continued that “The agreement on a final settlement with Germany said that no new military structures would be created in the eastern part of the country; no additional troops would be deployed; no weapons of mass destruction would be placed there. It has been obeyed all these years.”
There was mo promise made especially considering that in 1989 Gorbachev didn’t agree on “dismantling the eastern bloc” just about german reunification.
Why are you repeating lies?
Kazan “Putin is one of the finest leaders in the world”.
Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan, a republic of the Russian federation.
Do you like your dear leader of 22 years, the nazi dictator Putin?
Day 256 of my 3 day war. I have signed law allowing criminals to fight in war. Why should Kremlin be the only criminals involved?
I remain a master strategist.
George Soros! It’s so good to see you again. Now ESAD. Please.
So you have a few more weeks to keep up the lies.
A short question; what do you think about these figures? https://t.me/generalsvr/1191
To repeat to you. You are posting lies.
Gorbachev himself denied the lies you posted.

Why are you repeating lies?
Firstly, Zelensky is flawed and not my hero.
Secondly, E plurilies uno wrote on 6th November “Another couple of weeks ... begging for a peace deal with Russia “.
I’m going to remind you about that on 21st November
Do whatever the **** you want, Mr. Soros.
If you were really winning, your propaganda would not be necessary.
You’re so dumb you haven’t even figured out that the entire global power structure is realigning because of your idiotic war lust.
And you ain’t gonna like what comes next.
PS - Which of the 186 genders do you identify as today?
Meanwhile, Russian sources whining about yet another massacre of Russians by Ukrainian forces.
But we’re supposed to believe that in two weeks, after nothing but failure since about July, Russia is going to turn things around and force Ukraine to surrender?
You’re disconnected from reality and an utterly deranged buffoon.
What was it your own people said--Russian TV, or propagandists like Scott Ritter? That the war would be over swiftly. I believe Ritter himself said it would be over within just a few weeks at most.
We were told, promised, over and over again, that Ukrainian defeat was imminent and unavoidable since February. That didn't happen, and as Ukrainians continued to fend off Russian advances, we were promised that 30,000 Ukrainians were about to be "trapped by a pincher movement in a cauldron!" and will all be massacred! (The exact opposite happened).
Reports of Ukrainian advances and victories were mocked and ridiculed, even denied. Major offenses were said to have been defeated even before they were launched.
All these lies have been proven wrong, over and over and over again. Can you name one that ever came true? Any promise or prediction at all of what would happen?
I CAN! I've shared some myself. I can dig it up in my posting history if need be: I said--quoting nothing but Russian sources to boot!-- that Ukraine was mobilizing. That it would finish mobilizing by July or August and likely have an army of more than 700,000 people (they have more than a million). That once this mobilization was complete, per the prognostications of Russia's own people like Igor Strelkov, the pain would commence and Russian defeat would be inevitable.
And what have we seen? Russia is now on the run everywhere on the battlefield. Even with 300,000 meat puppets added to the front line, Russian sources are crying--even today--of massive casualties and the loss of more and more territory.
Russian sources, mind you! You should know all about them! But you don't... because you're such a shitty researcher you stopped at the most ridiculous and stupid of all propagandistic sources and stopped right there.
But despite the complete failure to ever make a correct prediction... you have the nerve to insult FReepers, complain about "propaganda," and promise the imminent defeat of your made up enemies?
You people are just a pack of screaming monkeys throwing shit at the wall, but no shit has ever stuck.
E. Pluridiot unum “Which of the 186 genders do you identify as today?”
Unlike you I don’t believe in this gender ideology.
I am male and if you call yourself non bilary or whatever you are just talking more nonsense.
Why do you brand preach the false gender ideology?
Yeah.....okie dokie.
“KEDMI, Yaakov (b. 1947) is a former director of the Israeli secret service...”
https://www.spisok-putina.org/en/personas/kedmi-2/
Is GlobalSecurity.org full of BS, as well?
“Yaakov Kedmi is a former director of the Israeli secret service Nativ, a special service that transported Eastern Bloc Jews to Israel”
https://www.globalsecurity.org/wmd/ops/putin-2022-03.htm
How about the Jamestown Foundation being full of BS?
“According to Yaakov Kedmi—who used to head Nativ, the former Israeli intelligence service....”
https://jamestown.org/program/russian-cyber-troops-weapon-aggression/
.
.
I could pull more.
Your problem was you failed to understand what ‘Nativ’ was/is.....
2 errors:
Misspelling of his name, and
he was not fmr head of Israel's Secret Service, as Nativ was never Israel's Secret Service.
Again, GlobalSecurity.org is BS, right?
GlobalSecurity.org writes:
Yaakov Kedmi is a former director of the Israeli secret service Nativ, a special service that transported Eastern Bloc Jews to Israel. In the 2010s, Kedmi became a regular participant in propaganda shows on Russian TV. He plays the role of the “useful Israeli” and uses his status as the former head of an Israeli secret service. His statements completely match with the most controversial claims of Russian officials and propagandists.
https://www.globalsecurity.org/wmd/ops/putin-2022-03.htm
Nativ was not and is not secret, i.e. a secret special service like Mossad etc.
Actually He was regarded as a Russian asset already when he was stationed in Moscow 1988-1990, and the rest is history.
Okie Dokie.
It was very likely the case that he was appointed head of Nativ by Shamir because he had special relations with Moscow.
