Then he never did get the deal...they gave him the purple shaft for his efforts.

Joe Manchin is a philosophic liberal. He only votes conservative when he must on issues concerning West Virginia. Otherwise he is a sure vote for Biden’s polices. He was a rat, is a rat and will be a rat.

He barely won his last election. His vote for the so called “inflation reduction act” was very unpopular in West Virginia. I very much doubt he will run for re-election. He is politically dead meat in West Virginia.

I have more respect for Elizabeth Warren than Manchin. She does not pretend to be anything other than a far left liberal. Joe Manchin pretends to be a moderate. He is not.

There are a few coal trains running parallel to I35 through central Texas. The string of cars hauling coal south is close to a mile long. They are loaded headed south and empty hauling butt north. They seem to have the right of way on the slower freight hauling trains. I’m not sure how many coal powered power plants there are in Texas but they do supply a large amount of the power for Austin, Waco and San Antonio.

While China & India have nearly 200 brand new coal fired power plants under contruction right now.

So they get cheaper coal power, we are stuck with expensive and unreliable green power.

Doubt it makes any difference. They’ve been voting for this since 2008.

He'll just tell that fake plagiarized story about how he loves coal and how all his coal miner family members would come out of the mines and play football (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Rkoqglq9dU). Will PA once again go "awwwww, he's Scranton proud" and stick with him?

Meanwhile the Germans are restarting their coal plants to keep from freezing their heinies off this winter.

Here in SW Arkansas we have a coal fired plant. During the big freeze last year the power stayed on while it failed in parts of Texas. Minus seven(the Experiment Station) and -4(the airstrip) is pretty tough for around here.
