As Russians escaping a partial military mobilization in their homeland drank their morning coffee in a cinema that opened its doors for them in northwestern Kazakhstan, Central Asia was waking up to yet more fallout from Moscow’s bloody war in Ukraine.
Almost a week into the drive for soldiers that Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on September 21 in response to a tide-shifting Ukrainian counteroffensive, sightings of Russians wandering the streets of cities throughout the region with backpacks and lost expressions have become commonplace.
So, too, have lengthening lines at the state borders that Russian citizens can still cross without visas, as reports that Moscow may soon move to close off the exits — at least to men of fighting age — deepen the panic.

Putin will then claim these areas are Russian as there as so many Russian speakers
Big problem in Georgia, all the fleeing Russians are jacking up the rental rates and pricing out native Georgians, it’s going to get ugly.
Putin said he was going to mobilize Russian men.
Turns out he mobilized them to leave!!
Beats dying in Ukraine so Putin and his oligarch friends can buy more superyachts!
Those are just poor migrants escaping injustice looking for a new life and lots of social welfare handout programs.
Enjoy the suck of Libtardism
So much for the vaunted Russian Army.
Russia is little more than Mexico with nukes.
Back in the stalin days, and probably long after that, the ruskies would plant their spies during spurts of emigration.
I remember reading a story about a polish jewish yeshiva student stuck in lithuania at the outbreak of the war who wrote about the soviet takeover of lithuania at the outset. He mentioned that at first there was a window of opportunity to get out, as the nkvd would include well trained spies mixed in with the refugees.
Narratives must be maintained.
Radio Free Europe? Please.
Georgia and Moldova are toast if Ukraine is bullied into another frozen conflict with Russia.
“the ruskies would plant their spies during spurts of emigration.”
The practice today is far bigger than most could grasp.
...something about Putin’s heavily armed draft motivator’s having now been placed at every major airport, rail, and land border egress routes.
Don’t laugh, these things are not entirely unrelated.
Russia is typically one of the biggest Natural Gas and energy (commodity) contract holders/price movers across the CME and NYMEX, with massive short/long/straddle positions, and it is plausible-to-likely the temporary parabolic spike across the complex last week resulted in a high multi-Billion $ Dollar $ profit —
Bottom line, after last weeks energy profit spike, uncle Vladolf should be able to help out Cuber, and still be able to continue funding and organizational assistance through FSB/SVR NGO’s which ha e been and are assisting dozens of leftist US orgs in their illegal immigration/trafficking from across Central America and through Putin’s buddy Mexico.
Last week was a Baltic lemonade win win “fo sho”.
Thanks for your posted article.
The full article says the same thing is happening in the Stan countries with so many refugees seeking shelter and food. They are moving beyond the only Stan bordering Russia to some of the other Stan countries and it is even affecting these other economies. Perhaps they will be allowed to start businesses and grow the economies. Perhaps they will organize and help overthrow Putin? Who knows?
Comment #14 has interesting thoughts on money manipulation during the mobilization crisis.
Or in 10 years they’ll beg “Mother Russia” to come in and save them from “Nazis”.
Kazan = Cranked
BTW.
He got busted responding to multiple posts with different aliases.
“Total BS. There are reports of people VOLUNTEERING all across Russia now.”
Reports from RUSSIAN and pro-RUSSIAN sources. I put as much stock in those reports as you do about reports from Western or pro-Ukrainian sources.
Every side is playing for advantage, by hook or by crook. It’s how the game is played.
