Despite all the effusive praise the brave Ukrainian military has received in the western press, extolling all the humiliating defeats the Ukrainians have dealt the Russians, the reality on the ground appears to be entirely in Russia’s favor. And that reality was acknowledged on a recent Council of Foreign Relations Zoom call by retired lieutenant general and former deputy commander of United States European Command Stephen Twitty, who told the other neocons on the call that Ukraine simply cannot win this war and needs to sue for peace as soon as possible.

Turn tail and run! Why stand up for something? Snow flakes gotta snow flake...
Then the Biden Admin can start pushing the collapse of the world
Some retired dipsh*t is not a “top U.S. military leader.”
Opinions are like a$$holes.
“Demilitarization and de-nazification” . This is how you do it. Our state department and deep state just got their asses handed to them.
If only we had more generals like that during WWII. Then we all could be speaking German or Japanese.
So when are you gonna parachute in and fight?
And you got $40 billion more to give Ukraine? Perhaps you could spare some of that for families that are short on baby formula, if they can even find it, given how reckless and ineffective the Biden administration is.
They hold on for more money and arms they can sell on the black market. Our tax money is making people rich, and it’s not the poor slobs getting killed.
Conflation on your part.
As well, Godwin’s Law.
Russia cannot take NATO member countries outside of Ukraine as he knows he would lose.
If it were here, I would fight with a can opener, if that is all I had. I am not saying it is easy. I am saying, that fighting a war to defend your country sucks. But when it happens, you fight to the last man. Die on your feet or live on your knees...
Wow, your respect for retired military is astounding.
Secondly, he knows more than you know. You don’t know squat compared to him.
Meanwhile, Nicaragua authorizes entry of Russian troops, planes, ships

Getting beat so bad they have resources to send to Nicaragua.
Must be something to not being silly and woke.
Did Russia do lockdowns and masks for covid? Do they have rainbow flags, transgenders, drag queen story hour, diversity, equity and inclusion? Bet China and Muslim countries don’t have those things either.
The West is falling and it’s obvious why. It’s also deliberate. Who knows where things will be in 10 years.
Further aggression?
Pfft.
Again, Russia cannot take NATO member countries outside of and surrounding Ukraine as he knows he would lose.
And western powers will encourage fighting to the last Ukrainian in their proxy war.
Then there’s this:
Africa moves closer to Russia. Neocons push to sanction countries that want to use Rubles
Many African nations are moving closer to Russia while neocons are pushing to sanction countries that want to use the Ruble.
The Duran Analysts discuss the Neocon’s disastrous plan to enact secondary sanctions on countries that are making deals with Russia while NATO countries are looking for an off ramp in the war.
H/t to Cathi here at FR.
They haven’t lost a battle and Putin impregnates farm animals. Why should they quit?
One of the most interesting things in General Twitty’s assessment was that there were 200,000 missing Ukrainian troops. The U.S. could not find them. He speculated that it was likely “mobilization fraud” or they died.
Well I remembered that I had read a post early in this invasion stating that 200,000 of the “conscripts” fled at the immediate beginning of the military conflict. But, that was all it said and provided no evidence.
Could be those are the 200,000 that the U.S. couldn’t find on their radar...:-)
I also read a while later that Ukraine issued a decree that they would investigate people returning to Ukraine after the conflict to determine where and how they left. No explanation was provided for that; but now seeing a possible connection...:-)
After 4 mobilizations Ukraine is now reduced to a new order to mobilize/register all women 18-60.
And I recently read that the Ukrainian troops did not show up when called even back in 2015...9,000 immediate no-shows.
