The law enforcement response to the horrific school shooting at an Uvalde elementary school has been facing severe criticism after it was revealed that the shooter was alive inside the building for an hour without being taken out by police.
During this time, one brave mother drove 40 minutes from work, was handcuffed for trying to enter, talked police into freeing her, breached the perimeter, and went in and got her children out of the building.
Police officers also reportedly entered the building and rescued their own children during this time.
When questioned about the response by CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, Texas Department of Public Safety Lt. Chris Olivarez said that police were reluctant to engage the killer because they “could have been shot.”
Instead, they attempted to keep him in one room. Inside that room, a little girl was bleeding out and would later die at the hospital.
“Don’t current best practices, don’t they call for officers to disable a shooter as quickly as possible, regardless of how many officers are actually on site?” Blitzer asked Olivarez.
“They could’ve been shot. They could’ve been killed,”

I’m sorry. I don’t believe this crap. It is no coincidence that Joe Biden, before, this shooting, planned on signing a new executive order, (anti-LE) “policing policy”. It WAS going to be wildly unpopular, now it isn’t! This entire debacle is no different than the “defund police” BLM movement if 2020. Different scenario, same results.
Cowards. Fire them all. Shun them for the rest of their days.
Refuse them any refuge anywhere they go. Don’t sell to them. Don’t buy from them.
Scorn them every time you see them anywhere you see them. They’ve made a mockery of their oath and have destroyed the bond of trust between them and the law abiding citizens.
That is inexcusable and consequences must be swift, severe, and permanent.

How about we take some of that $40,000,000,000 Biden is giving to Ukraine and make up physical and electronic models of the schools for the public safety people?
I suppose the best way a parent desperate to save their child in such a situation can get inside a building is to first shoot the cowardly cop who is trying to keep them from entering the building. Protect and serve my ass. Bunch of pussys.
During Katrina, rich New Orleans residents brought in Israeli security people.
Israel does not extradite its citizens I believe.
The only holes they were concerned about were their doughnuts.
The cowardly local PoPo shoulda given up their flak jackets and firearms to the parents/grandparents who would have gladly gone in and kicked butt.
We saw this in Florida and Colorado. Rather than confront the shooter, they set up a perimeter and waited. In Florida cops from a neighboring town ignored orders went in and ended it. Here, it was Border Patrol.
We’re supposed to give up our weapons and depend on the police, when clearly you cannot depend on the police.
Active shooter....of KIDS....and the ones who signed up to put THEIR lives on the line, to serve and protect, were *reluctant* .... because *they* could have been shot.
Just sickening.
This department at least should sell all the obviously unneeded, unused with the tags still on them, tactical equipment, vests, armor, etc. and give the money raised to the schools for private security.
We have come a long way from the Nation we were in 2001...
When you remember the hundreds of police & firemen who died saving, or attempting to save, tower victims...
That is something that would not happen in today’s society where LEOs at all levels are not only thoroughly corrupt, but are self-serving & spineless as well...
