Washington was on to something. There is no more vital safeguard of our liberties than freedom of speech. Without it, we are, as Washington graphically notes, “like sheep led to the slaughter.”

This is one of those truths that appear to be self-evident. But today, only some speech is considered “free.” The rest must comport with a dizzying number of rules, conventions, and arbitrary guidelines that makes a mockery of the concept of free speech.

There positions are based entirely on emotion, not logic.
I noticed a language shift several years ago. When giving their opinion, people used to say, “I think...,” now they say, “I feel...” There is no way for emotion to argue against logic.
Leftists are totalitarians. In in the blood.
Why are people on the right such wimps (like this guy)? Why is it so hard to say what is obvious, that the Left could care less about free speech or the Constitution? They are enacting a plan, which is not being slowed in the least by anybody that is supposedly on our side.
They have no problem with free speech; so long as it’s theirs.

The left doesn’t have any problem with free speech. You’re free to say anything they agree to. Anything they disagree with is totalitarian hate speech which must be utterly abolished because they say so. To protect people from totalitarianism.
Because emotionally they are a bunch of 12y.o. pre pubescent little moody girls. They never natured past 13 because mom and dad never told them no followed with a swift kick to the rear for added measure.
Today's Left takes their cue from East Germany's infamous Stasi.
How weird that the Left went from advocating Free Speech to advocating a totalitarian surveillance state of snitches and proscribed thought. Even the ACLU has become totalitarian.
Now they want an Orwellian "Ministry of Truth". Unbelievable.
What they want would never pass in the court of public opinion nor through legislation. So they need activist judges and extreme gaslighting to succeed, oh and spineless Rinos.

While we defend the rights to free speech vigorously and frequently, let us also remind ourselves of the moral duty to do our best to speak the truth.

Why Does the Left Have Such a Difficult Time With the Concept of ‘Free Speech’?
If you learn nothing else from your time at FR, learn this: the Left are the very tyrants the founding fathers warned you against.
The left are the great protectors. They exist to save you. They create crisis then try to solve the crisis. By taking away free speech, they are preventing you from being possibly injured (psychologically or physically) and avoiding any information that may cause anxiety in others see? It’s for our own good.
They fear free speech because their arguments don’t hold water when presented with inconvenient facts. Their arguments MUST be true because it FEELS right, and facts interfere with their feelings.
Free speech is like Holy Water & The Cross to a vampire for Libs.
