to worship this clown.
***I suppose they gotta do sumthin to counteract you Putin worshipping stooges.

We should start a pledge thread, where you Putin worshipping buttheads pledge not to call pro-Uke FReepers Zelly worshippers or whatnot, and we pro-Ukeleles pledge not to call you guys stooges... that kind of thing.

I’m not sure what it would do, except perhaps we could say that when we see that behavior we will hit the abuse button and call out the troll, regardless of which side they’re on.

You’re just another Putin stooge reciting Putin’s talking points. All have been refuted.

NATO never did accept his country’s application for membership nor its Membership Application Program. He knew all that going into this debacle. His begs and pleas are all intended to play one pearl-clutching western nation against the other.

That and the Biden regime teasing NATO membership for Ukraine caused the war.
***Ukraine had a NATO Membership Action Plan MAP long before Biden came on board.

And, those in Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk should have every right to be independent of a Ukrainian nationalist government that is hostile to their Russian ethnicity and foment illegally through insurrection in 2014.
***All that ethnicity bullshiite was just the excuse, same excuse Hitler used on Sudetenland. And the appeasers ate it right up, again, not having learnt the lesson.

This war is about OIL. https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/4050958/posts

The Russians weren’t even interested in eastern Ukraine until oil was found there. Their interest is simply in raping that country. Russia gets 60% of its revenues from oil exports. Europe gets 40% of their oil from Russia.

In 2012 massive oil and gas reserves were found in Crimea. Crimea signed a $10 billion exploration contracts with Shell and Chevron to develop the new found oil and gas fields. These oil and gas products would compete in Europe with Russia’s oil and gas, reducing Russia’s oil revenues, which we recall amount to 60% of their total GDP. Russia annexed Crimea in 2014, cancelling the contracts with Shell and Chevron.

But Ukraine still had massive reserves in, you guessed it, Donetsk and Luhansk, and other areas East of the Dnieper River. In 2019, Energy Secretary Rick Perry visited Ukraine, and soon after Ukraine awarded exploration contracts to a consortium of U.S. oil companies. Again, these oil reserves would compete in Europe with Russian oil, so Putin is invading Ukraine to shut down this latest attempt to extract Ukrainian oil and sell it in competition with Russian oil.

This explanation makes more sense to me than the “Putin feels threatened by NATO expansion” excuses for the invasion.

If the Ukes allow some small region in the west to be its own republic, but the OIL belongs to Ukraine, do ya think Pootypoot would allow that? Nope.

I wouldn’t call Zelly a hero. You fight with the army you have, not the one you want. He’s what they got, warts & all.

You should say, the discredited Powell Doctrine.

https://freerepublic.com/focus/news/4050271/posts?page=91#91

Kevmo to Fury
Do you have a source for that claim?
***I posted one of my sources, someone I knew at the time in the military under his command. And at the time there were other sources in correlation but I don’t feel like playing fetch because I KNEW that one source so, I really don’t care where it goes after that.

And the buck stops with the President, ultimately.
***True. Didn’t you ever wonder why Powell was the front man for all that bullsnot about WMDs?

Kevmo: It is an idiotic test to follow. Would you follow Jimmah Cartah’s test for the US economy? How about obambam’s test for racial equality? You don’t follow FAILUREs and their doctrine.
Fury: We will disagree on if Powell is a failure.
***Then comment on the analogy, the real hypothetical. Do you follow FAILUREs for their doctrine? No.

And that really skirts the question and is a matter of discernment
***Yes I perceive you are skirting the issue.

- what specifically do you object to regarding the Powell Doctrine?
***Its origin. As I have stated. The man is a failure, and his assertions were what caused us to end GW1 prematurely. He deserves scorn, not a following. Look at where he ended up, acting and voting as a democrap. This surprises you?

Make peace? You would tell Poland in 1939 to make peace with the Nazis?

Putin and medvedev have stated that their aim is to destroy Ukraine as , in their opinion, it is not a legitimate state.

Ukrainians are fighting and dying not for Zelensky but for their homes and loved ones

It is currently in American interests to support the killing of Russians in the Ukraine.
***Sad but true.

We should send in plenty of soldiers into western Ukraine where there are no Russian boots on the ground fighting. That would free up Uke guys to fight in the east.

We should also set up a volunteer force for any American soldier who wants to fight in the east. We would have a lend-lease program for American emBASEeees in exchange for the help.

Powell is a horses ass that violated his own doctrine. But the Powell doctrine is a prettied up version of the Weinberger doctrine that Reagan had. It remains valid. Unless you think having clear objectives, a pressing national need for war, or that efforts at negotiations all should be skipped.

I don’t care about Zelly, nor the perskonalities. Russia INVADED the Ukraine. Twice. Against the UN nonproliferation TREATY Budapest Agreement accession, wherein we and Russia assured the Uke borders and sovereignty.

from my home page:

I have been advocating for several years a policy I call ‘embaseees’. Embassy + AirBase —> EmBASEeees. We go into a terrorist country, clear out their taliban equivalent, then withdraw to very large Embassies, perhaps 3 of them. Have them big enough to encompass a military airbase where we can use it for decades on end to conduct anti-terrorism operations. As long as the ‘host’ country aint killing Americans then we let them have self-sovereignty. Kind of like how we operated in the Phillipines for decades. We could even have an intermediate zone that we patrol but it would be autonomous. Let them have their taste of freedom. A referendum every 10 years to see how large the boundaries of the intermediate autonomous zone should be.

American’s who are willing to fight the Russians need a reliable conduit for getting inside Ukraine and across Ukraine to the action. That problem could be remedied if we had a pro-American administration, a real State Department, and a pro-American CIA. Instead, we have bureaucrats, Leftists, and the woke set. The Cossacks need American help.

Ukraine's role as a laundromat was greatly assisted by the ignorant buffoons that were sent there by the Bush-Clinton-Bush Administration to "Nation Build". Then a new generation of buffoons arrived to maintain the status quo.

What's been really amazing about this whole thing is that the entire spectrum of the American media has convinced a large swath of the American public that this conflict is about Zelinsnky/soros/nuland/WEF/vindman/"admirallevine" vs. Putin/looksslikehestandsforwhatdeplorableslove/azovsarenazis/butrussiansaren't.

Maybe, just maybe, the average Ukrainian doesn't give a rats ass about soros or "neocon globalists" or Hunter Biden's "businesses" or the Deep State in DC.

Maybe the Ukrainian people are, in spectacular fashion, turning down an invitation from the Kremlin to rejoin the USSR, a monstrosity that killed millions of them and destroyed the lives of three generations of their people and two generations elsewhere in Eastern Europe. This concept may hard to understand for anyone that wasn't in that neck of the woods in the aftermath of the Soviet Union.

What does it take to get you guys to argue the issues?

What issues are you talking about?

I DGAF about Putin, and yet somehow you've decided to tag me as a "Pootypoot stooge."

We went through this yesterday. The U.S. has no obligations to Ukraine, and the giant bucket full of A-holes in government and media who are lining up to support Ukraine is enough to convince me that the place is a corrupt, worthless dump from my perspective.

Americans who are willing to fight the Russians have every opportunity to show up at the Ukrainian embassy in Washington and enlist as a volunteer.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that among Ukraine's vicarious mercenaries here on FR, exactly ZERO have done so.

The Ukrainian Embassy cannot arrange passage from Poland to Ukraine and make the necessary military connections. Most of us, even those of us with military experience, are just too old to be of interest to the hard-pressed Ukrainian armed forces who need to spend time working with spry recruits rather than gray-haired Volkssturm types. But I do admire those who have gone there.
