Zelensky Says He’s ‘No Longer Interested’ In NATO’s Diplomacy

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has not let up on his criticism of NATO and told 60 Minutes in an interview that aired Sunday that he is “no longer interested” in the military alliance’s diplomacy.

“When you’re working in diplomacy, there are no results. All of this is very bureaucratic,” Zelensky said when asked about recent harsh comments about NATO. “That’s why the way I am talking to them is absolutely justified. I don’t have any more lives to give. I don’t have any more emotions. I’m no longer interested in their diplomacy that leads to the destruction of my country.”

Since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, Zelensky has been pleading with the US and NATO to enforce a no-fly zone over Ukraine, which would mean the Western powers entering a direct conflict with Russia. For not going to war with Russia, Zelensky has slammed NATO as being “weak” and “afraid” of Moscow.

Discussing negotiations with Russia, Zelensky said he would never recognize Crimea as Russian territory even though the peninsula has been under Russian control since 2014. As part of a potential peace deal, Moscow also wants Kyiv to recognize the independence of the breakaway Donbas republics of Donestk and Luhansk.

When asked if he was willing to give up any Ukrainian territory for peace, Zelensky said, “Overall we are not ready to give away our country. I think we have already given up a lot of [lives]. So, we need to stand firm for as long as we can. But this is life. Different things happen.”

“We understand one of their provisions that is always talked about is to recognize Crimea as Russian territory. I will definitely not recognize that,” he added.

The Ukrainian leader said that his country hadn’t been willing to cede territory from the beginning. “Had we been willing to give up our territory, there would have been no war,” Zelensky said.

By invading Ukraine and threatening Finland, Putin has demonstrated that NATO is a paper tiger.

“If he were a country without that capability, he would be striking a much more accommodating tone towards his invaders.”

Just because he has it, doesn’t mean he should use it. Starting even a limited nuclear event, is an open invitation for Russia to throw them like cluster bombs. And that war he can’t possibly win at all as it is giving Putin an excuse to strategically take out civilians at a rate that would make covid look like a cut for someone from falling off a bicycle. That would be suicide for Zelenskyy and everything that means anything to his country. And how many others that would jump on the dogpile is unknown...but will happen also. And it won’t stay just there.

It appears Biden hates Zelensky because he didn’t play by the elite’s rules and leave Ukraine when he was offered an evacuation by our so-called administration. Biden is doing less than minimum for Ukraine’s military while pretending to support them.

Ruling out diplomacy is a dead end, literally. This guy isn’t Churchill at all.

Technically the allies (including Churchill) rejected all diplomatic overtures and insisted on unconditional surrender. Warranted given the situation, certainly.

But on the other hand Ukraine is not going to be in position to demand an unconditional withdrawal anytime soon. Still, the news in 1941 and 1942 (start of US involvement) all seemed to say the Allies were getting scorched in Europe and the Pacific so our demand at the time probably seemed pretty laughable to the Axis powers. Things change though...

Just because he has it, doesn’t mean he should use it.
***When we were in our existential war, we used them. Who are we to scold them for using nukes when we were the ones who betrayed them over that agreement in the first place?

Starting even a limited nuclear event, is an open invitation for Russia to throw them like cluster bombs.
***I keep hearing that even putting one American boot on the ground is an open invitation to nuke warfare. It’s bullshiite. Russia signed the Budapest Agreement that scooped the nukes from the Ukes and assured their ‘borders’ and ‘sovereignty’. Their invasions are OBVIOUS violations of that agreement, so we could easily put boots on the ground in “assurance of borders and sovereignty” as we signed [and they signed]. What’s sauce for the pootypoot invading goose is sauce for the “border assuring” American gander.

And that war he can’t possibly win at all as it is giving Putin an excuse to strategically take out civilians at a rate that would make covid look like a cut for someone from falling off a bicycle.
***The way Vlad has been acting, he’s threatening EVERYONE with nukes. Pantywaist appeasers take that as a cue to not challenge him, just like what happened to start ww2 with Hitler getting encouraged over Sudetenland. Appeasement doesn’t work.

That would be suicide for Zelenskyy and everything that means anything to his country.
***He is in an existential war. Taking out one Russian city with a suitcase nuke and a loud announcement that Russians shoulda removed that POS dictator in the first place, that would be enough to get plenty of Russkies to conduct a fast coup d’etat and end it.

And how many others that would jump on the dogpile is unknown...but will happen also.
***No it won’t because no one is interested in Nuke WW3. The Russians already know they’re in error by letting this @$$#0/e run roughshod over neighbor borders and sovereignty, so when they luze a city over it they will act.

And it won’t stay just there.
***Sure it will. But if we don’t get Nuke nonproliferation right, everyone in the middle east and Africa and south America will have them. The A-bomb kid designed his nuke bomb in a matter of weeks in his dorm room from unclassified sources. Any third year physics student can do it.

Biden is doing less than minimum for Ukraine’s military while pretending to support them.

Biden is wrong on everything, always has been for 50 years in public life and always will be. so start with that.

In this case he is trying to take the Powell doctrine and violate every single one of it's conditions. Fully committing to Criteria 5 would require some well thought out strategic support that Biden is incapable of doing (especially since he already violated all the other ones and thus has no real strategic goal to even focus on)

  1. Is a vital national security interest threatened? No it is not.
  2. Do we have a clear attainable objective? No we do not.
  3. Have the risks and costs been fully and frankly analyzed? The only risk they considered was the effect on the polling and they deemed all the negative consequences beneficial because it would create a smoke screen to cover their own disastrous economy.
  4. Have all other non-violent policy means been fully exhausted? No. Negotiation was rejected all the way.
  5. Is there a plausible exit strategy to avoid endless entanglement?Hah. This is going to impact our status on the world stage for decades to come. Negatively. China and Russia closer? US Dollar in decline and at risk of no longer being the world's reserve currency? What other far reaching disaster might his mishandling of this lead to?
  6. Have the consequences of our action been fully considered? No.
  7. Is the action supported by the American people?Yes but recent polling says it's losing steam in people's priorities as people are starting to suffer sticker shock and Biden does zip about it.
  8. Do we have genuine broad international support? Not really. Everyone says they support it except China but with China, Russia, Germany, India etc all working to buy Russian gas and oil the sanctions are neutralized right out of the gate. Russia can live without McDonalds.

Ukraine isn’t in NATO. Tigers defend their own territory. When a tiger is outside his own territory, it’s up to him whether or not to defend it. Usually he does not.

But Russia stealing the natural resources of Ukraine makes it a greater threat to America. Russia itself states that it is a threat to America. It is currently in American interests to support the killing of Russians in the Ukraine.

What I find most pathetic is that he could have shown up for this interview wearing a “Bernie Sanders 2020” T-shirt, and there would still be a bucket full of Freepers swearing he is the second coming of George Washington.
***What I find pathetic is the Pootypoot stooges. He can do no wrong, including invading his neighbor and threaten the US with nukes. There’s a bucket full of Freepers who worship this guy, including you.

There, I met your bullshiite hyperbole with my bullshiite hyperbole. What does it take to get you guys to argue the issues?

At the end, he will be secreted out of Ukraine and end up somewhere he already has a huge mansion and a bigger bank account. Miami perhaps?

Confronting a tyrant who invades his neighbor over oil & gas reserves is somehow “globalist”?
Did you post the same thing over Saddam invading Kuwait?

This war is about OIL. https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/4050958/posts

The Russians weren’t even interested in eastern Ukraine until oil was found there. Their interest is simply in raping that country. Russia gets 60% of its revenues from oil exports. Europe gets 40% of their oil from Russia.

In 2012 massive oil and gas reserves were found in Crimea. Crimea signed a $10 billion exploration contracts with Shell and Chevron to develop the new found oil and gas fields. These oil and gas products would compete in Europe with Russia’s oil and gas, reducing Russia’s oil revenues, which we recall amount to 60% of their total GDP. Russia annexed Crimea in 2014, cancelling the contracts with Shell and Chevron.

But Ukraine still had massive reserves in, you guessed it, Donetsk and Luhansk, and other areas East of the Dnieper River. In 2019, Energy Secretary Rick Perry visited Ukraine, and soon after Ukraine awarded exploration contracts to a consortium of U.S. oil companies. Again, these oil reserves would compete in Europe with Russian oil, so Putin is invading Ukraine to shut down this latest attempt to extract Ukrainian oil and sell it in competition with Russian oil.

This explanation makes more sense to me than the “Putin feels threatened by NATO expansion” excuses for the invasion.

If the Ukes allow some small region in the west to be its own republic, but the OIL belongs to Ukraine, do ya think Pootypoot would allow that? Nope.

This is Vicky’s war against Russia. Godfather Joe only expects 10%. Bono and company are going to do an Ukrainian war internet concert to raise $$$$$$$$$$$$. There are more Russians than Ukrainians. The west is running the show. Sadly some people are hell bent on having a mass blood letting. But the new world order jokers, are determined to have another regime change.

The Mighty Z will live on in a life of luxury, those serfs beneath him be damned.

Zelensky regime is winning the image war — while the Russians are winning the war on the ground...... Only one of these two wars actually matters.

Hard to do so until the next election. I think NATO abandons him and tells him to sign a treaty very soon. He does, then acts as president while Russia wipes up the Donbas. If anything, I think some AZOV nazi takes him out in revenge for Mariupol.

The blaring alarms and screaming sirens of warning are that George Soros, Jao Bai-din, Hunter Biden, Paul Pelosi, John Kerry Jr., Christopher Heinz (Kerry), and Alex Vindman are tied in with Ukraine. That list of names is all anyone needs to know.

Zelensky appeared by video at the Oscars, a medium for Hollywood's outright Communism and hatred of America.

Zelensky's claiming he's done with NATO diplomacy to explain away why he's not begging for help while shedding crocodile tears; he has his help. These globalists are illegally running the war from the U.S.
