So, I got a phone call from the FIB yesterday...(Vanity, kind of, but it really happened!)

So I checked my phone yesterday and saw that a got two missed calls from a number that looked like a business. I googled the number and it came up as the Philadelphia FBI. I prefer to deal with such people in the written form whenever possible, so nothing gets twisted around. Possibly, it's about a fraud complaint I left online last year that I also spoke to the state police about. However, with all of the suppression of MAGA, I am wondering if the FIB is getting more interested in FReepers online comments.

Has anyone else gotten a phone call from Big Brother lately?

That was cool. Sadly, I did some digging and the Trulia info was corrupt - the condo is at The Residences at Addison & Clark, 1025 W. Addison St.

Had a couple of emails from them, telling me I was being fined for visiting porn websites and must pay by gift card. Deleted...

Because I’m a licensed real estate broker I sometimes get unrecognized calls from signs or referrals of new prospects from past clients. If the number displays I will open the line but say nothing for 3-5 seconds. The robo-dialers will hang up and move on; a person will usually say “hello”. Gets rid of the automated calls.

Caller ID means nothing—it’s trivial to spoof.

I got two more calls yesterday from the same number about an hour apart. I didn't answer either.

90% certain it is a spoof.

I dealt with their agents back in 1994 from the Philly Office. They were smart, sharp, and had a well balanced demeanor.It was over a matter involving evidence traced back to my ownership while they were investigating the Philly cops.
Good guys at that time IMHO. (If that helps)

Years ago, I did too, as well as a postal inspector. Things have obviously changed.

Maybe you should call them and find out. I'm sure Kash Patel would like to know which of his agents are monitoring this forum for unpatriotic posts. How many trolls are involved in researching my old posts from years ago? Where are they located?
