So I checked my phone yesterday and saw that a got two missed calls from a number that looked like a business. I googled the number and it came up as the Philadelphia FBI. I prefer to deal with such people in the written form whenever possible, so nothing gets twisted around. Possibly, it's about a fraud complaint I left online last year that I also spoke to the state police about. However, with all of the suppression of MAGA, I am wondering if the FIB is getting more interested in FReepers online comments.
Has anyone else gotten a phone call from Big Brother lately?

When I scan for WiFi networks and the SSID "FBI Surveillance Van" pops up, I REALLY start to worry.
If it was really them. So many scams are being run today. I learn of new ones every day.
Often fbi attempts to visit in person, in pairs.
“we get about 20 ripoff artist calls a week, and some can even fake a return number on your display”
You ever get the one from Kingston Jamaica calling about you “weening the publeeshers clearinghouse prize”?
They said I won a new washer and drier, a new F-OneFeeTee (yeah I’m making fun of the guys accent), and a million dollars.... I just had to pay a 30% processing fee.
I flat out told them no and hung up.
A week later these morons called back using the same phone line, so I decided to have a little fun with them. I strung them along for 20 to 30 minutes finally giving them the address to the J Edgar Hoover building. I hear a small commotion in the background, and the guy comes back on saying “F You FBI” and hangs up.
I was visited by ATF criminals framing local machine shops for producing “ ghost guns” when Holder announced “under the radar” stings. Every ,machine shop in the county was subject to an attempted set up. First they sent some dirt bag who asked if he could “rent” machine time to finish ar15 lowers. When everyone told him to get lost ATF thugs showed up asking to have a look around claiming they ‘heard’ We were making ar 15 lowers. I told them to get lost and if they didn’t leave immediately the sheriff would be called and I would prosecute the, for trespassing. THEY tried the “ If you don’t have anything to hide you won’t mind if they have a look around.” I told them come back with a warrant. They never came back. FBI. ATF. CIA. All crooks and thugs.
I can assure you that the FBI only reads FR for amusement purposes only.
As for me, I only read the comments for amusement purposes only.
The number is likely spoofed by scammers. FBI doesn’t call and not leave a message.
Your lists have lists! :O
“I don’t do business over the phone.”
My phone is a disposable phone and doesn’t even record. If you know who I am, text me. Spam calls record your voice deliberately too.
I’ve had multiple posts sent to review before posting on several different sites.
I am the admin on FB and since January of last year, I have gotten alerts to posts that don’t meet “their standards”. Sometimes multiple times a day.
I tell them my name - either Keith Moon, Nigel Tufnel, James Ignatowski, Fred Garvin, or maybe Graham Chapman. They usually ask for my address, which I happily surrender as 1060 West Addison St in Chicago, Illinois. If they ask for my number, 1-202-479-5100 seems reasonable.
On a good day, I tie them up for 10 minutes.
If I don’t recognize the number I never answer it.
And if they leave a message, no call backs unless correct references
“MissJenny gave me your number…” or similar.
Yes. We’ve a friend who delights in teasing and razzing the scam callers.
Probably that extended warranty bunch trying to get you to answer the phone before they file away your file. LOL.
I record every incoming and outgoing call, especially with government employees; and with people I don’t trust. It has helped me out many times for various reasons. Just make sure you are in a one party state. If you call and some recording says the call may be “recorded for training purposes”, that is sufficient for an approval for you to also record.
Caller ID means nothing—it’s trivial to spoof.
62 is probably the country code. The Philippines is 63 and Singapore is 65.
Thanks!
Did you know there is actually a condo for sale at Wrigley Field? LOL
