So I checked my phone yesterday and saw that a got two missed calls from a number that looked like a business. I googled the number and it came up as the Philadelphia FBI. I prefer to deal with such people in the written form whenever possible, so nothing gets twisted around. Possibly, it's about a fraud complaint I left online last year that I also spoke to the state police about. However, with all of the suppression of MAGA, I am wondering if the FIB is getting more interested in FReepers online comments.
Has anyone else gotten a phone call from Big Brother lately?

*I got two missed calls...
I don’t do business over the phone.
Could have been a spoofed #.
I wouldn’t accept anything unless by certified mail...or if they show up at my front door...with proper ID...and my phone on “record”.
Period.
If I don’t recognize the number I never answer it.
interesting. let us know how you handle it.
we can have no way of knowing but
usually official business with the govt is NOT handled by phone because of the high odds of scams
I would at least check the return phone number carefully
before calling it
we get about 20 ripoff artist calls a week, and some can even fake a return number on your display
Good guys at that time IMHO. (If that helps)
I’m special.
Two agents visited me during the Obama regime.
No but a couple of MIBs stopped by to ask what I knew about the sale of a Borellian ionic transducer. I said, “No, do I look like a zergblatt?”
And they came to my house, very mannerly and respectful. They were even more so when I was very measured in my words. They are not stupid or emotionally driven (at that time).
Are you employed by the FBI in any way, shape or fashion?
No message. Don’t know the number. Ignore it and don’t sweat it.
Never talk to the cops, never ever never.
If you are truly worried contact the Federal Public Defender’s office and maybe they will check it out for you.

Due to the number of spam calls I’ve gotten, I set my phone to “do not disturb” mode, where if an incoming number is not on my favorites list, it doesn’t ring and goes direct to voicemail.
If they don’t leave a message, I assume spam.
The Pot Brothers!!!
I love them!!!
I got a really strange call 5 days ago, from Newcastle. It looked like a foreign number, so I searched for Newcastle, and it came back “Newcastle upon Tyne”, in the far NE part of England. I did not answer it. The number had an extra digit,
62 1 4955 5XXX. I tried a couple of times to do a reverse search, but couldn’t find an international service to do that.
