What is the highest "Roman numeral" or descendant name in use in the world today?
As a golf fan, I know of two men who use III in their surname (Davis Love and Notah Begay) but there's a senior golfer named David Morland who uses IV.
Guessing he isn't the answer to my question, anyone know of people with higher numerals in use? (no Pope examples thanks).
I recently saw the Roman numeral for 3 following a late young females name on a tombstone a few weeks ago. It was a first for me.
And 611 is the information number of the beast.
Arwen Evenstar! Seriously!
I’ll do you one better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMNgbISmF4I
Wasn’t he a center fielder?
King Louis XV. He was a moron from what I remember from western civ.
Apparently there was Louis XVIII.
John Sidney McCain, III’s son is the 4th with the same total name, which is technially required to continue the line.
I know a family here in Maine that is at the 13th or 14th generation using the same first and last name, but the recent men have different middle names. Father, son and grandson were using Sr., Jr. and III as Sr. And Jr. are well known locally (Sr. passed away a couple of years ago). The family is related to who’s who of American industry.
I dont believe the use of suffixes for names for royals and popes falls under the same concept as use in family names.
Rocky VIII?
The Dodgers had an ace pitcher named Orel Hershiser V.
If you include Popes there is John XXIII.
I had the 45 as a kid.
The flipside is the whole song backwards.
There’s Louis XIX of France, appropriately named, as he was king for 19 minutes.
I remember Pope John XXIII.
I dated a guy named Lord Lyall VI (Lord was his given first name).
He told me he would be a VII.
Also, I have a friend with a grandson who is the fifth. They call him V.

NFL players like to put “II” after their names on their jerseys vice “Junior”! I am sure there’s one who has “I” after their name versus “Sr.”. Yes they’re retarded and I just like to make fun of their stupidity! I thought “Ocho Cinco” was the height, (vice Ocho y Cinco), but they keep pushing that envelope!
